It’s so hard to buy anything online for a Dane. Even when you can see the specs, it’s hard to imagine how it will work for such a huge dog. I have to say, this thing is awesome. It’s plenty large enough (see pic). Moose really loves it, and I love that it takes pressure off his joints. I also love how well constructed and thought out it is. There is a metal frame all the way around it, which is a nice touch, that not only helps with strength and stability, but also prevents the canvas from being chewed on. It has rubber at the bottom of the legs to keep it from sliding, which is awesome for tile or hardwood floors. We cannot keep a rug or carpet in Moose’s kennel because he will tear it up. Hence why we need the bed so he has something after to lay on than the hard floor. I can’t say enough good things about this. It’s a great size and great construction. If you need a bed for your Dane or another large breed, get this! I will update the review with use of how well it holds up to my 160 lb dog. ... show more

The dog loves her bed! We had to show it to her and let he know it was okay to get on it. She took to it rather quickly and once we saw her bring over one of her chew toys to it, we knew she accepted it. For a midsize dog the bed size is more than enough for her. We like the quality and the color. Now, assembling this thing by myself was difficult taking more than an hour. You really should do so with two people, but I was able to do so myself. What makes it hard to assemble is the fact that you must stretch the fabric to get it lined up then screw everything down. That said, when assembling it, do not tighten the screws. Basically, get three corners assembled loosely then tug and stretch the fourth and last corner in place. Then tighten everything down. If the bed is wobbly, then loosen the screws, level it off then retighten. The bed being hard to assemble is the only reason I took off one star. If your dog is prone to clawing, then I can see the fabric ripping, but that should be easily resolved by trimming your dog's nails and Amazon sells electric trimmer kits for your pets. I like it and the dog likes it, so we both recommend this bed! ... show more

    • Assembly not that bad
The instructions initially "scared" me as it mentioned you need 2 people to make assembly easy and "cautioned" me that the 4th leg might be difficult (requiring a 2nd person) to "set" the bars in place where they meet the leg and then screw in. Thank you for the heads up about not tightening the screws all the way on the other three legs until you "set" the fourth leg in. I wanted to offer a wonderful tip for getting the bars to set in the 4th leg with minimal effort. I still had my husband hold the one side in place while I set the last bar. I used my husband painter's putty knife which was about the same size as the area that you needed to 'ease' the last bar in place and the bar fell easily in place. I did the 2nd bed (I bought 2 for both dogs) and it was so easy. Tightening everything very easily! Might want to offer tip in your instructions otherwise I see where it might frustrate people. ... show more

The item is well made and will last. The assembly is almost impossible to stretch the fabric. I placed it in the sun for 2 days and was able to complete assembly.

Our 80 lb goldendoodle LOVES this dog cot! We purchased the 59” and it is perfect for him! He probably could have fit on the size smaller but this gives him plenty of space to spread out! We have had it more than 6 months and Theo uses it multiple times a day, the shape is holding up nicely. The hardest part is trying to find a space for it because it is huge, but a huge dog requires huge accessories so we make room for our furry friend and his things! We would absolutely recommend this product and would definitely buy a gain. ... show more

Frame is solid but my dog scratched thru fabric in less than 4 months. I tried to buy a replacement cover but it is not available for my size and model. So need to buy another brand….
