I will start off by saying this is the first magnifier combination set up that I have used. I have a few LPVOs and mostly CQB type 1X setups, so it was a little bit difficult for me to get used to the eye relief necessary to use this magnifier well. I have now had two range days with this set up and I can say that the glass is nice and clear with no distortion. I’ve had a few people come over and ask me about it, try it out, and their feedback was the same as mine. It’s nice and clear, but there’s definitely a sweet spot for the eye relief. I can only see this being an issue with fast target acquisition at distance. My overall thought is that I would keep the magnifier off, even if engaging at distance and then flip the magnifier over when I have cover and time to take more precise shots. The housing seems to be constructed very well, and it feels tough. No scratches so far and doesn’t seem like it’s going to dent easily. I have had it in a heated vehicle and then out to below freezing temperatures and I didn’t have any fogging issues. The one small issue is the lens cap band that goes over the actual sight since it’s just a rubber version that holds on with a little bit of tension. It’s nice and thick, but it’s almost too thick for the magnifier to be able to move freely back-and-forth. What that means is that it will be difficult to get the lens cap set up on or off quickly. It takes a little bit of finagling. The sight holds zero well, has good battery life so far and the adjustability of the brightness for the red dot is great. Overall, I think this is a great little set up if you’re not looking to spend over a grand.

Update: I was able to zero it, my only issues are that it was "new" but had already been opened and one of the magnifier screws not being flush.

This really helps make short work of our iguana problem here in South Florida. Installation is quite easy. There are a few awkward screws on the mount, but once that's done, it's just a Picatinny mount. I tried this on three of my air rifles. I started with my FX Impact M4. It worked perfectly and looked good on it, but let's be honest, that's not exactly something I keep out for easy access. I tried it on my Umarex Notos. Great quick setup, but it just felt off to me. I then put it on my Air Venturi Alpha. This is a winner. It looks great and works great. After sighting it for 15 yards, it turned my Alpha into an iguana's worst nightmare. The scope doesn't add much weight to my rifle, and the red dot makes it easy to get on target on the fly. I really like the magnifier. I can easily click that in place when I need it. The optics have excellent clarity, and making adjustments for alignment is really easy. The amount this has helped me save in damages makes this well worth the purchase.

I have used quite a number of red dots and this is the firsy one that offered a magnification option. The parts feel well made. It offers standard rail mounting options, so unless you have something exotic you should have an easy time mounting it to the host. The configuration of attaching the dot and magnifier to the mount is a little quirky. Using the tool provided, you need to "thread" the tool through the "cage" of the lower part of the mount to tighten the screws holding the dot in place. I like to use a certain brand tool with a torque gauge to make sure I have a solid fit. Unsure that I'll achieve the same with the included tool. The magnifier is not so much a concern as easier access is provided and frankly if it loosens a bit not that big of a deal, but a loosened dot scope can alter your point of impact. The magnification mount readily turns out of the way when you don't want to use it. The various reticles on the red dot are easily cycled through the three options and should offer something for everyone. Curious that no battery is included with the scope. I have had a number of red dots and illuminated scopes which came not only with a primary battery but included a spare as well. The seals on the box I received were broken; however, the contents looked untouched. I don't think it was a used unit; however, there is a chance somone got it and returned it minus the battery. The mounting instructions are great but there are no instructions for the dot itself, i.e. battery insertion, reticle changes, sighting in, etc which are normally included with scoped. Fairly easy to figure out though for a premium item I'd expect some sort of documentation covering it. Minor points in the grand scheme of things. I initially thought this was a little overpriced but with a little research I am finding that the price seems inline with red dot magnnifier combos with the added benefit of the magnifier being able to rotate out of the way when not needed. Most of the other ones I see have the magnifier fixed in place.

This combo set is excellent in performance and quality. Since the magnifier is only 3x, I rarely fold it over to the side. The combo rail mounts which make it versatile with high compatibility. I appreciate that the combo features shake awake. It has an average shut off time of about two minutes. The reticle has three options: 2 MOA dot, 34 MOA circle, or a combo of both. The overall combo set is solidly made. The magnifier is easy to flip but tight enough that I don't have to worry about it moving on its own. It is on the tall side with a 2.26" center height, but on a .556 which has no recoil I've had no issues. The combo features clear glass giving a lot of clarity. All in all, this is a solid quality, useful combo that is well designed.
