I’m a happy go lucky kind of gal, not into the drama. My aim here (no pun intended) is not to bash Pinty as I’m a loyal customer of their products, but to bring attention to always being prepared, or for better words, have a backup plan if something goes array. I purchased this Pinty laser scope to mount on my Mossberg 88. The fit on the top Picatinny rail is snug / solid. Please note: After reading a few reviews that complained about the mount failing, I beg to differ. The mount has three screws two of which hold the mount to the rail and one that holds the knurled scope to the mount. Don’t be a wussy, tighten the screws with the supplied Allen wrench and rest assured it will survive the onslaught a 12 guage can deliver. I performed a bore sight with my sighting kit and was able to adjust the scope to where I believe I’m comfortable enough to take the gun to the range. The adjustment knobs for elevation and windage performed as expected. Pinty claims the reach of the laser is 300m well over what would be needed for a 12 gauge and I must say it’s pretty bright with no distortion at approximately 100 yards the distance I tested it at. The only thing that griped my A$$ was the supplied tape for the finger switch. It was totally useless as all the glue came off the hook and loop pads and remained on the storage strip which they came attached to. Being the woman who thinks ahead I had in my little pink tool box 10 lb 3M “hook and loop” pads to supplement the crappy ones sent with the scope. They worked like a charm to mount the switch exactly where I was comfortable pressing it. All in All I’m a happy Gal this being my third Pinty scope. With the exception of the crappy pads I would have given 5 stars, but something so simple like a 1/2 penny mounting strip cost a star. If you’re looking for a great inexpensive laser scope , this may very well be a match for you. Just make sure you have on hand replacement mounting pads and all will be well. In closing I’m not a bit sorry for this purchase. Be safe and happy shooting. Update: Range tested with 15 rounds of Remington 00 BK and the mount is as secure as when I installed it. ... show more

My experience with this laser sight: I bought this on June 6, 2017. Since I'm in one of AMZN's "same day delivery zones", it was on my doorstep later that evening. NICE! Used the laser on my break barrel 22 cal air pistol to rid garden and bird feeders of rodents, mostly squirrels. Was easy enough to mount and zero in. I especially like the ability to adjust elevation and windage by hand. Every other scope I've used requires a screw driver or Allen wrench to do this. Also like the very bright laser dot it emits, easy to see even in sunlight. I probably had the laser on for about 30 minutes while zeroing it in and for another 2-4 minutes, twice a week. So after a month, let's assume I had it powered on for about 1 hour. Come July 9th, I needed to use the pistol so I switched on the laser. No green light. The battery has to be dead. Didn't have a spare and could only assume that either the battery was old, or the laser had really sucked down the juice. Couldn't find reasonable priced CR123 batteries locally, so I splurged on 6 rechargables & a charger, again from AMZN. They arrived a couple of days later, I charged them up overnite and inserted one into the laser the next morning. NO green dot. Tried other batteries, and another. No green light. Also tried swapping the pigtail pressure on-off switch with the button on-off switch. No change. The laser was dead. Now I'm thinking that this is going to be a hastle, since I'm outside my 30 day return window w/ AMZN, and am forced to deal with some company I've never heard of before: Banyan Imports. Seems to me I read a negative review somewhere on AMZN about getting no customer service from them. If you look for the line near the top of this product's web page, you'll see the line "Sold by Banyan Imports and Fulfilled by Amazon" Click on Banyan Imports and the next page will have info about the company, along with a button on the RH side of the page with space for a question. I used that route and here's what happened... Wed, July 12th - 1:35pm: Stated my problem and asked for their help. Wed, July 12th - 10:30pm: Banyan reply asks if I want refund or replacement. Thurs, July 13th - 6 am: I reply stating that I'd like a replacement. Thurs, July 13th - 8:30pm: Banyon states a replacement is on its way along with a USPS tracking number. Monday, July 17th - noon: replacement delivered. So I'm a pretty happy camper, especially with Banyan's customer service. The replacement laser works. Hopefully for much longer than 30 days. Time will tell. They didn't want the defective unit returned, so when I get the time I'll try to do an autopsy to see what part(s) are dead. Not certain I'll be able to get the case open or not. Rated 5 stars for Banyon and 3 for the laser... avg 4 stars. ... show more
