Should I Buy It?

Do consider your comfort with its slightly bulkier design before making a decision.

  • Great little laser
Style: Green Laser Sight
I bought this for my home defense shotgun. Getting up at night I would need to see where the gun is pointed. The laser itself mounted up great with its own hardware. The pressure switch needed some other type of adhesive to mount. The double faced foam only stuck to its self but not the grip. After I had everything mounted and aligned with the barrel it worked great. You can pick the shotgun up and squeeze the the grip and it lights up very bright. Perfect setup for me! ... show more

  • Great fit for the balista bat crossbow
Style: New Model Green Laser Sight
Laser is green. Visible beam in low light. Green dot is very visible at daytime. The sight is easily adjustable. You remove the protective cap and use enclosed Allen wrench to adjust.windage and deflection. The Allen wrench also used for mounting. The laser and mount is solid.

  • Works well with a Vepr 12, with the addition of a small spacer (see post)
Style: Green Laser Sight
I had no problem with the pressure switch, but the beam moved every shot (all 3 of them) while mounted to my Vepr12 which I know is a violent recoiling shotgun. After the 3rd shot laser no longer worked, I contacted seller and I was offered a refund or replacement from Banyan Imports...Thank You! I decided to try another one because it seemed like a very well machined and made laser in my opinion being a machinist by trade. Well long story short while messing around and removing it from my Vepr12 I took the front lenses off, it just unscrews, inside I saw the laser inserted into a damping piece of rubber (decent design) So I pushed the rubber with my finger and it moved back about 3/16th of an inch and the laser started working again! When pressed back till it bottomed it left a .3 gap to the front of the tube so I think the recoil make the rubber moves forward while rotating and most likely is the reason for the point of aim changing with every shot! I made a spacer that has the dimensions of .765 OD with a ID of .56 min and a lenght of .3 to .312 (5/16th) on the rubber side of the spacer I made a few sharp edges to bite into the rubber, when you screw the front lenses back on it contacts the spacer just a bit and drives it into the rubber preventing it from moving forward and losing contact with the battery and also stop's it from rotating solving the point of aim problem! No further problems with this unit since, and a easy fix!!!! But the fact that I had to make a piece that any engineer should have designed into the laser, made me give it only 2 stars for Accuracy. Having had a moment to think about the engineer's I have to deal with I can totally see how they wouldn't realize the recoil might move the laser...not exactly manly men if you know what I mean LOL! Slight and easy mod and it's a killer deal for the money IMHO! ... show more

  • Super high visibility
Style: Green Laser Sight
This thing looks like a light saber when it comes to low light conditions. It's very visible and helps you key into your target so you get get your rounds on point. It isn't too heavy either so thays also a plus. The banner is rechargeable but the battery life is great. Unless you just forget to turn it off then the battery will last quite some time before needing a recharge. All in all I'm happy with this laser and will probably purchase another for my other AR. ... show more

  • Great value, better than expected performance!
Style: Green Laser Sight
I’m a happy go lucky kind of gal, not into the drama. My aim here (no pun intended) is not to bash Pinty as I’m a loyal customer of their products, but to bring attention to always being prepared, or for better words, have a backup plan if something goes array. I purchased this Pinty laser scope to mount on my Mossberg 88. The fit on the top Picatinny rail is snug / solid. Please note: After reading a few reviews that complained about the mount failing, I beg to differ. The mount has three screws two of which hold the mount to the rail and one that holds the knurled scope to the mount. Don’t be a wussy, tighten the screws with the supplied Allen wrench and rest assured it will survive the onslaught a 12 guage can deliver. I performed a bore sight with my sighting kit and was able to adjust the scope to where I believe I’m comfortable enough to take the gun to the range. The adjustment knobs for elevation and windage performed as expected. Pinty claims the reach of the laser is 300m well over what would be needed for a 12 gauge and I must say it’s pretty bright with no distortion at approximately 100 yards the distance I tested it at. The only thing that griped my A$$ was the supplied tape for the finger switch. It was totally useless as all the glue came off the hook and loop pads and remained on the storage strip which they came attached to. Being the woman who thinks ahead I had in my little pink tool box 10 lb 3M “hook and loop” pads to supplement the crappy ones sent with the scope. They worked like a charm to mount the switch exactly where I was comfortable pressing it. All in All I’m a happy Gal this being my third Pinty scope. With the exception of the crappy pads I would have given 5 stars, but something so simple like a 1/2 penny mounting strip cost a star. If you’re looking for a great inexpensive laser scope , this may very well be a match for you. Just make sure you have on hand replacement mounting pads and all will be well. In closing I’m not a bit sorry for this purchase. Be safe and happy shooting. Update: Range tested with 15 rounds of Remington 00 BK and the mount is as secure as when I installed it. ... show more
