  • Exceptional quality for scientists or marksmen.
Style: Green Laser Sight Black Color
First, I did not buy this for a gun site. I got it because I needed a low power laser for setting up prototype optical systems. At 532 nm 5mw is easily visible during the daylight, and dazzling bright at night. For optical experiments it is the perfect amount of power, for a gun site it is bright and visible on shaded areas during the day. Remember approximately 3mw of sunlight enters your eye as diffuse radiation. 5mw is nearly nearly double that, and it is coherent radiation. We do not look at the sun because our pupil magnifies the optical density on our pupil approximately 100,000x. Needless to say, the laser is dangerous to your eye\s if viewed directly. Quality The quality of the machining and anodizing of the aluminum is exceptional. To buy similar machined optical parts would cost hundreds from optical companies. I'd go so far as to say it's aerospace quality. The laser has extremely low divergence and a very round gaussian beam. I was not expecting this from a $20- consumer laser product. The X and Y adjustments are very precise and offer notched indexing that keeps the adjustment firmly in place. What I really like is that it can be switched on without a momentary switch as found on laser pointers, and this product is less expensive then so called -high end laser pointers. If one wishes to have a momentary switch it includes a coiled cable with a remote switch, presumably so a marksman can easily turn it on or off in whichever position they prefer on the gun stock. Highly recommended for science experiments and rifle enthusiasts. ... show more

  • Somewhat bright, rugged build, mixed quality machining, lasts 2 hours
Style: Green Laser Sight Sand Color
This is somewhat bright, but not the brightest I have seen. It is not good for use in bright sunlight. A small percentage of the others out there do work well in bright sunlight but they are few & far between. Prices are similar. Battery life on them is less than half as much. This one works well in all other conditions. The adjuster knobs for the windage & elevation are on the outside, so they are easy to adjust & easy to knock out of adjustment. No tools are needed for adjustment. One of the 3 screws in the pic rail mount has a malformed head & will not take an Allen wrench like it should. With a rechargeable CR123A battery that is rated 3V & 700mah, the burn time was over 2 hours. The other mount that goes on a 1" scope body works well, but leaves you with funny windage and elevation corrections at different distances due to the off center location between the barrel & the laser. I didn't try the remote switch. I didn't subject it to heavy recoil. ... show more

  • Well Made, Looks Very Nice, Comes with everything needed to Mount!
Style: Green Laser Sight Black Color
First off, Price. This Laser is a great deal, meaning you get allot for the money. Packaging is really nice, comes in a well-protected box almost like a gift box, very well protected. Comes with every accessory you could need to mount and use this laser, including the required battery. I mounted mine to my new Mossberg 590 Shockwave using a rail. The attachment was simple using one of several choices included with the laser. Installing the battery was super easy and the mount is very secure and sharp looking. First turning the laser on and "Wow" that green light is powerful and can be seen in any conditions. Although the Shockwave fires shotgun shells it is Not classified as a shotgun, but rather an "Other" Firearm. That being said, I wanted the laser so I can fire accurately from the hip. I will be going to the range over the next few days to sight in my new laser. I can already tell this laser is worth much more than they are selling it for. This will fulfill my requirement perfectly. I will probably purchase another for a different firearm. ... show more

  • Great value, better than expected performance! Great value, better than expected performance!
Style: Green Laser Sight Black Color
I’m a happy go lucky kind of gal, not into the drama. My aim here (no pun intended) is not to bash Pinty as I’m a loyal customer of their products, but to bring attention to always being prepared, or for better words, have a backup plan if something goes array. I purchased this Pinty laser scope to mount on my Mossberg 88. The fit on the top Picatinny rail is snug / solid. Please note: After reading a few reviews that complained about the mount failing, I beg to differ. The mount has three screws two of which hold the mount to the rail and one that holds the knurled scope to the mount. Don’t be a wussy, tighten the screws with the supplied Allen wrench and rest assured it will survive the onslaught a 12 guage can deliver. I performed a bore sight with my sighting kit and was able to adjust the scope to where I believe I’m comfortable enough to take the gun to the range. The adjustment knobs for elevation and windage performed as expected. Pinty claims the reach of the laser is 300m well over what would be needed for a 12 gauge and I must say it’s pretty bright with no distortion at approximately 100 yards the distance I tested it at. The only thing that griped my A$$ was the supplied tape for the finger switch. It was totally useless as all the glue came off the hook and loop pads and remained on the storage strip which they came attached to. Being the woman who thinks ahead I had in my little pink tool box 10 lb 3M “hook and loop” pads to supplement the crappy ones sent with the scope. They worked like a charm to mount the switch exactly where I was comfortable pressing it. All in All I’m a happy Gal this being my third Pinty scope. With the exception of the crappy pads I would have given 5 stars, but something so simple like a 1/2 penny mounting strip cost a star. If you’re looking for a great inexpensive laser scope , this may very well be a match for you. Just make sure you have on hand replacement mounting pads and all will be well. In closing I’m not a bit sorry for this purchase. Be safe and happy shooting. Update: Range tested with 15 rounds of Remington 00 BK and the mount is as secure as when I installed it. ... show more

  • Good on AR-15 in daylight - or for astronomy. Good on AR-15 in daylight - or for astronomy.
Style: Green Laser Sight Black Color
Very impressive brightness. At night time I can easily see the laser dot at 575 yards - see attached photos. Easily visible in daylight on a cloudy day at noon at 50 yards, as I was shooting today. I have not been able to test at further distance in daylight, nor under clear skies. But I can say that compared to my $400 Eotech 512, this is just as much fun and just as accurate at 50 yards shooting targets for fun. I did not get to shoot further than this, but my impression is that the dot will be a tiny bit larger than the 1 MOA Eotech dot (on the holographic site) at 100 yds, making this less accurate than an expensive holographic sight at long distances. Heck, no one is going to tell you this is BETTER than an Eotech. and I'm not getting rid of my Eotech - they are totally different technologies. There are some definite practical advantages of holographic sights over laser sights - but that is for another discussion. If you just want to get your bullet to the right spot, if you just like to go to the range and shoot 50 - 100 yds, you'll get the same results using this Pinty laser sight as you will with an expensive holographic site, and have just as much fun. I shot 300 rounds of 5.56 today on an AR-15 and this held zero very well. It won't fail due to recoil, and the mount is excellent high quality anodized aluminum. Comes with a picatinny rail mount, battery, and a figure-8 mount. I have always thought laser sights were silly until I actually tried this. I am EXTREMELY satisfied - for the price you just have to get one. This also comes with a battery, an allen wrench for you to mount it, a remote switch, and some velcro to mount the remote - the remote is 'momentary on" only. That means that when you press it, the laser is on. When you release pressure, it goes off. You cannot click to toggle the laser on / off using the remote - you have to press the tail cap button to do that. I'd rather have a remote toggle on/off - but in my experience, all such remotes are momentary - I've not found a remote toggle for any lights or laser yet. Also the windage and elevation adjustments are excellent - nice palpable clicks, very crisp, and nobs are easy to use without tools. Very easy to sight in. This laser beam is also GREAT for studying astronomy with my children - to point out stars and constellations at night. Photos show the beam at night, and a map of the distance. I ordered a second one today, and suggest you get one -- this is worth a LOT more than $20. The mounting hardware alone could be $100. This is an insane bargain! ... show more

  • Good laser, good value, but mount is trash
Style: Green Laser Sight Black Color
I needed an inexpensive green laser. I found the laser itself well built, green laser is bright. I have not been able to zero because I cannot mount it at this time I cannot comment about its zeroing or if it will hold a zero on a shotgun. I have no use for the piggy back mount so I have no opinion about this feature. My issue is with the pic. mount that comes with the laser. The rather poorly worded sheet [language issue?] does not mention this mount at all. This mount has 3 small screws with hex heads. Apparently, two of these screws, one on outside R, the other, outside L control the picatinny attachment. The central screw is supposed secure the barrel of the laser. First the screws are of a very poor quality. I am not sure why but the included hex driver tool was either too small, doubtful or the cast hex hole on the screw top was poorly manufactured [most likely]. The hex key was loose in the hole. It would drive the screw if help absolutely perpendicular, but each time it slipped, the hex hole became ever larger with the fit more sloppy. I was forced to use my own hex driver that fit this hole and was able drive the screw home. Anymore force would have likely stripped the threads. At this point I can still slip the laser barrel into and out of the mount. The laser can freely rotate or move back and forth. Poorly made screws made out of very soft steel, and probably very poor machining make the mount USELESS. I referred to the single page of instructions, there was no contact information. Looks like this is going back. I would keep it if I could find a decent mount as I think it is worth the price I paid. It would be nice if the instruction would give me the exact diameter of the laser barrel in metric and English systems of measurement. Update: I just received a replacement laser and mounting kit from the seller. Did not ask for a return. To contact seller, I had to go through Amazon. Thank you Pinty, thanks Amazon. Because I was skeptical about the supplied mounting kit, I purchased another product on Amazon Fyland 1" ring mount for MLOK . Although it states it is for a tactical flashlight, I works great with this laser light. It is a lower profile. A bonus is the small mounting screws have a torx head [star- shape] along with a L-shape torx driver. This works far better than the normal hex drives at this size. Really like this mount. Buy this laser. If the mount doesn't work for you get: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XP4LJG3/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Fyland "mlok flashlight mount" ... show more
