  • Don't guess how far on a wall hanger.
Best crossbow scope I have ever used. It is absolutely spot on accurate. I would go place a target a random distance and shoot bullseyes constantly. The red dot is perfect in size. With the Burris Oracle scope mounted on my new Ravin R470, I was able to take my second largest buck with a bow ever this season. We found the deer laying on the arrow entry side and I called where I aimed and when we rolled the deer over the arrow hole was exactly where I said it would be. The wireless remote is perfect. The scope is nice to look through, and ranging is effortless. It's been a very good scope so far. I'm going to pick up a second one for the R29X. Follow the instructions for sighting in and it will then range from 5 to 100 yards accurately. I am now set up for 5 to 65 yards. ... show more

  • GAME CHANGER!
Hesitated for 2 years because of some of the negative reviews...wow, definitely plenty of whiners out there. THIS DEVICE IS INCREDIBLE. Super easy to setup (biggest complaints)...just be smarter than a rock...ie, mount the crossbow in a vice or a bench clamp, anything that holds it steady, set the crosshairs on a spot of a target 20yds away. Then carefully, without moving the crossbow, remove the current scope, then mount this one. Then, view thru the scope and make the necessary manual adjustments to set the cross hairs on the same spot of the target as the original scope. Then follow the instructions...I assure you when you take the first shots at 20 yds you will or should hit bullseyes. For me, 3 bolts, perfect...went back to 35 yds, followed the instructions to set the computer sighting, lazed the tgt using the cross hairs revealing the red dot...then using the red dot, shot 3 bolts...low. Adjusted the red dot...next 3 bolts...all 3 bullseyes. Checked at 50 yds (using the cross hairs to laze tgt)...perfect...went back to 65 yds (which I personally would never shoot)...zoomed in with 7 power (which made the tgt look like it does at 30 yds)...3 perfect bullseyes...WOW, this thing is unbelievable. Just remember to always, at the range or in the field, use the cross hairs to laze, the red dot for killing. Next whine...battery...unless you got a bad one, this thing does not eat batteries. After sighting in, and using it half the season because I shot a nice buck...my battery is still full. And I turned it on and lazed one tgt each time out just to confirm its working and the battery level is good. Ease of Use...awesome. It truly takes away all the fumbling and bumbling around with holding a bow, binos and range finder which can be a nightmare when bucks are running around during the rut. This year, was awesome...big 5 yr old 10 point came in and was moving all around at 75 yds...once confirmed a shooter and crossbow in hand the ease of the hunt started. Lased him at 65 yds, he turned, came at me then turned again...relazed...55 yds. Just like that he moves again coming straight at me...every time he paused I relazed him...adjusting the red dot, anticipating him turning and not giving me much time. This went on 4 times before he made a final turn and paused...at 10 yds. Now imagine having to keep lifting your range finder everytime or mentally having to reset which cross hair you need to use...thats a nightmare setting up for a bad shot. This scope is a GAME CHANGER. Note: one issue is mounting and not losing the remote...I mounted mine right above the trigger so i use can use my trigger finger to laze the tgt...so only my finger moves and keeps it off the trigger until i am truly ready to shoot. Works great but not confident the sticky side of the velcro will hold...that would be miserable losing that thing walking to your stand. Scope will still work but then you have to use the buttons on top of the scope...good luck with that. TIP...I mounted it so i could bore a small hole in the hand guard of my bow and i added a zip tie...glue gives, remote stays attached to my bow...maybe not useable then, but not lost on a trail. ... show more

Game changer crossbow scope at a great price!

  • Ballistics calculator isn’t tunable enough
Get the Garmin and save the headache if you have a good xbow. The ballistics curve on this does not work. You could shoot it lights out at 30 but once you try to fix your 50 yard shots it will ruin your 30 yard zero and you will end up chasing it until you decide to get the Garmin x1i. That’s what I did and love the Garmin scope. All my ranges and hits are bull eyes. I’d never settle for this. Burris was never as accurate as my stock glass scope. ... show more

  • WOW
Got this scope to put on a new Amped 425 crossbow that bought. I couldn’t be more pleased with it. It is definitely a game changer. I shoot really tight groups at a 100 yards. I have already harvested some deer that I wouldn’t have had a chance to harvest if I had to range the target with my range finder then get the crossbow on target then it would be leaving before I could get a clean ethecle shot off. With the Oricle X I get the scope on target and press a button on the remote control that I zip tied in front of my trigger well and the scope ranges the target, automatically adjust the reticle and squeeze off the shot. All in less than 2 seconds. I’m totally spoiled now. The Oricle X is expensive but the lifetime warranty, box it up and send to Burris and they fix or replace, no questions asked. That is the way every company should be! ... show more

  • Nice scope and got a deal.
This has been great. Got a good price on an open box unit last hunting season. Its a little bulky but nothing that is a show stopper. Using it on an Excalibur Mag 340. Held up good last season using only one battery. I know some had issues with battery life. Nice clear view through the scope. Only drawback is the battery cap! ... show more
