First off, I got sent a used optic with no battery. If it's normal for this company to ship optics without including a battery then why? Packaging was open and I suspect it got returned for the same reason I'm returning it, the mounting system. First off, why would you make an optic that requires a specific mounting system and not include an adapter for it? Have you seen the price for these mounting plates? You're looking at another $100 right there and it just so happens they make one with their name and logo emblazoned on the top so you know who screwed you. In addition, the so called NV sights are just dim and dimmer. No special button to press, one has to cycle through the rest of the brightness settings in order to reach the NV settings. So by Vector Optics standards, every optic now has an NV setting if you scroll down to the lowest brightness setting on your optic. If you're going to try and compete for market share in this competitive industry then you might not want to require customers to purchase an additional mounting plate just to use your product. That should come with the product. Also, don't claim the dimmest setting is for NV. This optic is nothing but disappointment packaged in a metal shroud. Don't expect this company to have any influence over the optics market anytime soon. Or ever.

I was pretty excited to try out this new red dot. I have quite a few other budget ones as well and I really liked the boxier style of this one. This one looks pretty good on my airsoft replica of an AK-105. I have a dusty cover with integrated picatinny rail and this sight fits perfectly on it without sticking up too high. It is tall enough that I'm able to get a proper sight picture even with my face protection on when I'm playing in local airsoft games. The actual dot is a good size in my opinion unlike some of the others that have huge dots in them. I will say, however, that the dot isn't very "clean". It doesn't have a good, sharp circular shape. It's a little bit fuzzy. It's not crazy bad, considering this is a no-name optic, but it's worse than I would prefer. I like all of the brightness settings on this as it allows me to set the appropriate brightness for any occasion that I play airsoft in. As another reviewer mentioned, I am very skeptical of the "night vision" settings on this optic. They get pogressivley dimmer than the non-night vision settings, but they are still visible to the naked eye. I'm pretty sure these would be blindingly bright under true night vision. Unfortunately, I don't have night vision to test it out with. I like that this optic comes with an included tool for making adjustments and opening the battery cover. But for whatever reason, three of the tool tips are for the battery cover. There's no reason to have more than one. They should have included a Torx tip on that tool in place of one of the battery cover tools (there is a separate Torx key for affixing the sight to a picatinny rail). Speaking of batteries, this sight does NOT come with a battery, which is a little disappointing since all the other budget red dots I have purchased all came with batteries included in the box. Unfortunately, there is also no riser or any adapter plates included with this sight, so you'll have to purchase those separately and they're not very cheap. When I try to make adjustments to zero the optic, I find that the small screw driver tool constantly pops out of the adjustment screw while I'm trying to turn it. It's surprisingly difficult to turn it very far without the screwdriver popping out of place. This is because the slot in the adjustment dial isn't very deep at all. I would really like to see them redesign the adjustment screws in a way that would make them easy to adjust (like all the other red dots I own than I can easily adjust). I do like using this red dot on my airsoft replica, but I don't think I would ever run this on one of my real firearms since it doesn't seem to be the greatest quality. Given the quality of this optic, I would say that it is severely overpriced! If you're looking for a good budget sight at an affordable price, then I would suggest looking elsewhere. This carries a name-brand price tag, but no where near name-brand quality.

I’ve bought some junk in my time but this Frenzy optic shop takes first place. First the box had already been torn open so somebody else already returned it. The reticle change mode didn’t work, the different modes of brightness didn’t work. The price is an absolute rip off. For the sake of my stress levels it’s now residing in the trash, at least that made Me feel good. Buyer beware

This was a tough optic to evaluate. I normally like to use optics on pistols, but I use this one to mount on my 22 rifle. To answer the number one questions, yes, it held zero. I fired over 300 rounds slowly adjusted it with a warm barrel and then fired about five more boxes of ammo once I had it dialed in earlier in the ammo account. It did not move at all. That in itself will earn this five stars. To me zero is everything. If I said it, and it moves when I fire, it’s worthless. the whole point of a site Is to be accurate. As far as the build quality, it is definitely well-made. Using excellent materials. I did not do any type of drop testing because I don’t plan on using this in combat. This is a perfect site for home protection and hunting. The site picture was absolutely amazing and on par with higher cost units and the brightness and display quality were just as good. I was really impressed with the design, the MOA site, and all the features found on more expensive optics. Mounting this to a pistol is going to take a few additional purchases if you get the right type of plates and attachments. I have not done that yet, but I’m may go out and put this on my 556 and just see how it does. If I do, I will update with further. All in all this is a very well rounded, accurate optic that provides similar benefits of optics 2 to 3 times its cost. This should be a serious contender for home defense and hunting. It is a well designed, well-made optic. Five stars given.
