I will say, building it was a bit tricky at first – the pieces don’t screw together right away, so connecting them initially takes some patience. I'm not one to take time to write reviews but this product deserved it! I was skeptical due to the cheap price. It was well packaged & delivered without damage. I put it together on my own in about 40 min. Lack of detailed instructions initially had me worried, but ended up being detailed enough because everything was labeled & in individual packages. It even came with the tools needed to assemble. I expected it to come in lots of pieces & I knew to take my time putting it together due to lower quality materials. A real pain to put together, find a friend to assist! But end product is well worth the trouble. They are just beautiful and sturdy and the price is right! I love how the wire mesh doors fold open and gently display books etc behind the masked shelf.

    • Unclear Directions
There are only pictures for assembly and it was hard to understand. You have to assemble the wood pieces before putting the metal sides on, the dowels are the only thing holding the pieces together and they are short so it kept falling apart. I had to do quite a bit of finagling to keep it together (and a lot of patience, almost gave up). I have to fix my mistakes because I assembled shelf with the magnets in the wrong area due to unclear directions, you can barely see what side the magnet should be facing during assembly all while trying to keep it from falling apart. This was a pain. They do look cute and will look great when I fix everything- I'll have to make my own holes because there's no way I'm taking this thing apart again. ... show more

These are really good, elegant , night stands. They were easy to assemble for most of part. The intial holding of assembly was a bit tricky but worked out once it is figured out. The end result were amazingly stylish night tables. They seem sturdy and matches really good to my bed. I needed an inexpensive set of tables for my home office that I occasionally use as a guest room. I put one of the tables beside a Murphy bed that double as a wall shelf, and the other I am using as a printer stand. Sturdy enough to hold my nearly 50 lb. printer and use the shelves to hold extra paper and other office supplies. Also, the top shelf has enough room to hold a mesh set of drawers. Took a little bit of time to assemble by myself (57yo female), and finish of metal welds is wonky, but I expected that at this price point. I like that extra screws were included just in case. (Why do I always seem to drop at least one and have it roll away, lol?) The hardware packets were also well organized and the instructions better than expected, but do be careful when deciding which side of the metal frame, which holds the whole table together, will face outward. (The screws will recess further from one of the sides — I didn’t notice that until assembling the second table, but it didn’t make much of a difference aesthetically, so I didn’t bother redoing the first one.)
