We bought it for a small guest room. Appearance wise, it's plain, but that is well hidden with a duvet and throw pillows. It's sturdy enough for all the guests we've had in it. It was easy to put together and takes up little valuable space in a small room. It was a great value for the money.

This item did arrive earlier than originally stated which I was excited about. Unfortunately it has some damage to the top/ headboard area of the platform. It was bend with a dent in the frame. Does not seem to affect the stability but for the price I was sad to see it had damage to it. The box was not damaged at all.

Update 12/23: Not liking this frame very much anymore. The vertical legs that touch the floor like to bend out of place and have to be stood back up every day. Leads to a corner falling out from under me when I'm asleep and waking me up. Me plus my mattress only weigh about 300lbs together and this thing is bending itself out of shape after less than six months of normal use by one person. I did eventually go back to tighten any bolts that were loose, but it's still doing this all the time. Pass on this one, I'm looking for a better bed frame now. First time having and putting together a metal bed frame so here's my honest opinion. This kit comes with the thinnest wrench I've ever used in my life, about as thin as a dime, and I unfortunately lost my ratchet set recently so was forced to assemble it with that. There was one bolt I couldn't get tight no matter what I tried, and that makes one of the legs a bit wobbly, but the bed is still very sturdy and I'll be able to fix that leg later when I get a real wrench. It's in as few parts as possible and would probably take under an hour if you had better tools and did it right the first time lmao. The metal slats for the mattress just slot into place, move the frame into position before you install those to keep from dropping them like I did. Also, either they include extra bolts in the package, or I found a more efficient way to assemble it, because I have several left over lmao. Was worried I might need furniture pads to put under the legs since I have laminate floors, but thankfully it's not prone to sliding on them. This is my first memory foam bed so I was a little skeptical of laying it right on the frame, but it turns out they do work that way and it's super comfortable! I wouldn't use it for a spring mattress because it'd be way too tall with a box spring. I'm almost sleeping level with my window now, any taller would be a no go. This thing also has tons of space underneath for storage, something I've been lacking for the past decade when I had a mattress on the floor. Wouldn't be hard to add a headboard if you like having one.

This was an absolute mess to put together. Half the nuts to the designated bolts were too small to completely screw on. The wrench given was then too big to actually tighten anything. Certain pieces need to be facing a certain direction, but the instructions won’t indicate this to you, and you won’t realize until a few steps later when the screw hole isn’t on the right side. Parts don’t align well and require you to hold it up or push it down to fit correctly. This was sitting in my living room uncompleted for about a week, all because I was going to have to take it apart to get one of the last bars to screw in properly, and I had no energy to do it all over again. However, when the whole thing was finally put together, it was surprisingly easy to move and held up well with the mattress on it. I didn’t even have some of the screws completely tightened (re: the nut issue) and I was able to put it on its side and slide it through my doorframe with no issue. Some reviews complained about squeakiness but its made almost no noise, and again, I don’t even have all the screws correctly tightened. The edges are VERY sharp and I have several cuts on my legs from sliding across the edge. Overall, good price and works well when put together. Get somebody to help you put it together or you will regret it.
