This is the second kit I've bought after losing my first and letting my ears close. I have used other kits that need you to follow through with your plug after your taper. It's cumbersome and sometimes causes damage trying to put the plug through a fresh stretch. This solves that. Push the taper through, unscrew, and done. Just screw the backing on a walk away. Less traumatic on your ear, and you. The stainless steel is easy to clean and won't harbor bacteria like acrylic will. Stop scrolling/comparing and just get this one. Right now I am at a 2g and this is my second time stretching my ears because the first time I used a cheaper plastic material and I had a blowout, but these are so much better and I think this time will be better

So i got the stainless steal, the plain one. I LOVE them. I have super sensitive skin and a medical condition that causes allergic reactions to basically anything and everything. NO interaction at all with these. I make sure i sanatize them before putting them in, oil them, then put them in. I then put a little antibiotic ointment on there too, just to be safe because again, medical condition. So far these are working amazingly. I will say, the o-rings are a PAIN to get on there. What i do is put the o-ring on the taper, taper through the gauge, then slide the o-ring down over the thing. I have lost a few o-rings, but it's okay, there are extras on the tapers. I would like if it came with spairs though lol... But that's my only 'complaint'. ... show more

I want to say that the product is well made, I love how they are organized into their own, clearly labeled bags by size and they also look great in your ear. There is 1 problem though, ok, 2. First, the tapers are very aggressive, they do not gradually taper larger, they jump abruptly to the bigger size meaning that if you’re too forceful you can absolutely cause damage to your ear. Second, the tunnels have a groove on the back that the o ring is meant to sit in, this works great, unless you’re putting them into a freshly stretched lobe. Those grooves are sharp and can and will cut you. I had to set myself back a few weeks and endure a good bit of pain because trying to put them in cut both of my ears due to the sharp edges. I’m new to this much like anyone buying this, and while a coworker and friend of mine recommended these to me I can’t get the 12 in. I have the taper in for now and have been using that to keep my ear gauged but since the plugs aren’t rounded at the end at all it’s been impossible to get it in on my left side. (Since left earlobes are problems, who knew?) but it’s great to have a kit with everything you need! So just please keep that in mind, it’s well worth the money and time.
