Overall the case seems very sturdy and sound. However, when we were shopping for cases we scrutinized every feature because it’s an expensive purchase and we want it to last a lifetime and keep our expensive equipment safe. As we looked at the features for this case, we happened to notice the picture showed that the lock holes appeared to be reinforced when metal rings; a seemingly small feature but something we liked nonetheless. Upon receiving our case and inspecting it, the first thing I noticed is the lock holes did not have the metal rings embedded like the picture shows, it’s just plastic. Now, I can’t image how it might negatively effect the integrity of this case or possibly be a nuisance when inserting/removing locks but considering it’s a feature we noticed and liked when shopping around, I’m a just a smidge disappointed that it is not, in fact, a feature on the actual case we received. When traveling if you don't have a truck you better pray your car has folding passenger seats. This item is huge fits in the bed of a truck fine but a sedan your going to have issues.

I saw a review that someone said the case was a bit flimsy and they are right. It's a good case with solid locking mechanisms, but the side wall thickness could be beefed up a lot by Pelican with little additional cost. My Plano Field Locker Mil-Spec Gun Case is much sturdier and I bet their Field Locker Element case is similar. Pelican is riding their reputation here with a below average case. I recommend skipping this one and moving on to Plano. ... show more
