This hammer just feels good. This is the 16oz steel curved claw hammer from Vaughan, and it's the "everyday" hammer that everyone should own - if you have one hammer, this is the one. good for almost everything. To me, it feels like a good cross between a standard wood/or fiberglass hammer, but with durability of an all-steel hammer. Great balance similar to the Eastwing all steel design, but I think it feels sturdier and less vibration upon striking. The grip has some better padding than the Eastwing version, too. This is a very well-made hammer in most ways, and would be the perfect hammer too, the kind of tool that shouldn't wear out under proper use. However, the handle is quite narrow and it just doesn't feel comfortable in my hand. I have pretty big, wide hands too. Someone with smaller hands might like it but then they might be even less impressed. It is a 20 oz. hammer, heavier than standard 16 oz. hammers, so it's more important than ever that it has a substantial enough handle so it will feel well-balanced in the hand when using it. You don't have to use it all day either for your hand to start to ache. I mean, when you're swinging a hammer, it should feel good in your grip and be a pleasure to use. ... show more
