These sticks are easy to grip but as one would imagine, are front heavy due to no taper. For this reason however, they hit hard...real hard. The sticks are good, but know that the double butts are slightly squared -which can be bad in certain situations. If you need a perfectly round butt, and don't want to spend more for it you can sand this smoother. Overall good bare bones product, exactly what I wanted.
