UPDATE: Was contacted by seller and received a second unit after I returned the defective unit, 100% free. New unit works great and dries very quickly. Not as quick as the more expensive dehydrators out there, but dries evenly and gets the job done. Only gripe is that the trays feel cheap, and the holes have almost too much space. Worth the $$$ Set it on a flat surface and left it on for 6 hours. Heard a loud noise that sounded like the internal fan caught on something and came back to see all of the plastic trays melted. I bought this food dehydrator to play around with making some dried fruits at home. I am amazed by this product. It is super easy to setup and make what you want. I was able to cut my fruits and get them to where I wanted in no time. This is going to allow me to make more food items in the future!

It arrived with a cracked lid, so i put some clear tape on it. No biggy. However, the auto temperature on this thing is a joke. It gets about 5 degrees warmer then whatever the ambient temperature of the room and that’s it! If it’s 70 Fahrenheit in the room this will approach 75. Basically this is just forced air and No different then the dehydrator i already owned which this was supposed to replace. Except the plastic on this one is more brittle then my older one. It’s a waist of money at this price point, pay a bit more for something that actually heats or a bit less for something cheaper that just blows air. I see no reason to buy this model at this price. Can’t recommend as it appears during the manufacturing process the screws that hold the fan are tightened to tight causing the molded plastic that holds the fan to break. This is the 2nd unit received with this problem.
