You never truly know what a piece like this will be like when you buy it online until you get it out of the box and put together. When it was all done we were really happy with this purchase. It looked exactly as it was pictured. And it is extremely sturdy. The wooden portions had a good looking finish to them. There are a lot of pieces to put together however. Something like 26 pieces not counting the bag full of screws. And the instructions are good, mostly diagrams. I do have a couple suggestions however. (1) get a large blanket and spread it out on the floor so that your metal pieces don’t slide and get scratched on the floor. (2). There are only two sizes of screws. Make sure you use the shortest ones when you attach the top shelf. The first one assembled in the process. If you do not you will puncture holes in the self when you tighten them down. Yes I did this. 😳. And given that the “wooden” pieces are laminated pressboard you want to avoid this mistake. We are very happy with this shelf unit however. Looks good and worked out perfectly for what we wanted to use it for.

I really wanted a more open, longer TV stand for our family room, and I liked the look of this one and also the reasonable price. It was very easy to assemble. You may want to have an extra person available to help hold some pieces together, but overall, it went together very well. All the pieces are very clearly marked and it comes with a lot of extra screws. You can adjust the shelves to the configuration you prefer, which is really nice. It is very sturdy and very attractive. If you're looking for an overall nice TV stand with extra shelving that is made well, easy to assemble, sturdy and solid for a good price, this is it. Very pleased with this purchase!
