I recently decided to build a loft bed for my room in order to make use of the vertical space in my 8-12’ [ceiling height] room. This has left a lot of open space beneath the bed, but I needed something to organize the myriad of shoes I had. The three shelf + top was the perfect height for me, and the wood tops match the wood stain I used [Varathane Gel; Kona on common board Douglas fir — I believe]. So I got two! Two things that surprised me were: 1. They are incredibly light! Meaning rearranging/ transporting them down the line should be a breeze. The metal posts are hollow, the fabric certainly helps, and the wood top seems to be comparable to a light composite shelf. That said, one potential downside would be in its durability. It seems like it can uphold it’s fair share of weight on top, but the fabric less so. Additionally, [much like another reviewer mentioned] the fabric may eventually take on some wear and tear if the item is not treated kindly/ just gets old in the years to come. 2. The wood top is comprised of two pieces. The fit flush and tight together, but are not perfectly seamless and both resemble their own unique slice of wood. I am really short on space...and the area I put this in is very narrow. I wear a 6 in women and I put all of my sneakers ..I can fit 4 per row..sometimes I will reverse a shoe ( toe facing out) if they are too crowded. Top row I use to put the work shoes I plan on wearing for the next 4 days. ( I plan my outfits on Sundays...so I don't have to think in the a.m.) the op shelf is cute. It does come in two pieces, but it isn't really noticeable. If I use this in my new place by the front door that would be very handy for keys, purse, etc. I am quite happy with this purchase. ... show more

The price point is very good and the quality of it surpassed my expectations, by a lot. It’s pretty darn sturdy, it looks nice, and didn’t take that long to put together. I bought another one from another brand, and pieces broke during assembly. Noped out of that one. Will be looking at this brand when I buy more stuff on Amazon going forward, I feel like this has become the Wild West and even after reading all the proper reviews, you still get stuck with some grade a crappers. They really check a lot of boxes you wish the other flimsy, fall apart, wiggle and unhinge racks would’ve. They really nailed it. Click on parts, protected corners on the wood just for shipping, adjustable feet…. A lot of people like it so much it’s their front door shoe drop. It really is that nice. But it is also that sturdy. I have a small home so this is perfect. I have it by my front door. It’s convenient if you want people to take their shoes off right when you get home or even for yourself if you don’t want to walk your house with your shoes. My kids are able to leave their backpacks on top so that is a plus.
