Read the dimensions! This was exactly what I needed for my small space! It seemed simple enough to build, but don't ask me for specifics because I just sat on the couch an provided moral support for my boyfriend who labored over it. It took him about 20ish minutes per shelf (he's also good with this kinda stuff, so don't get discouraged). While he was building it he mentioned that attaching the shelf at the bottom first makes it a little bit easier to finish. I did not mount it to the wall. I don't recommend doing this for yourself, it hasn't fallen over yet(it's been about 2 days since I put them up) buuuutttt I also have no children and the things on these shelves won't be moved that often. ... show more

The bookshelf looks sleek, modern, and compliments my space well. I will say the screws and holes were not aligned properly and they had to be carefully put together, ignoring the instructions all together. My advice is to place the screws in halfway, get everything aligned, then tighten them only when it’s basically put together. Because of the difficulty in assembly, it took longer than necessary and is why I’m giving 4 stars. Otherwise it’s a great product. I also bought this on a flash deal for $35 so it was definitely worth the purchase ... show more

I just got this delivered today. It took me about 45 minutes to put this together and that was only due to my inability to follow directions very well, lol. Once I got the shelves on in the correct position everything lined up and I was easily able to screw everything into place with the provided Allen’s wrench. I needed something to go over my baseboard and in between my bed and wall for my ever growing collection of books and divination cards. I love how this shelf took up minimal floor space and was able to work where the metal baseboard ran along the trim of the wall. The bottom shelf was high enough to clear the roughly 8.5” high baseboard and only took a small amount of floor space. The leaning aspect also saved space for a narrow section between my bed and wall allowing me to put a shelf system there when all other shelving units were too bulky and deep for this narrow area. For under $60 it’s metal rails and then wooden shelves seem to be of decent enough quality. The screw wholes in the shelves were metal reinforced so no cracking of the wood on the shelves happened whilst setting it up. The screw in footings also are nice because this allows adjustments to be made if the floor is a bit uneven. It sat flat against the wall and the footing pieces with the rubber cover grabs the floor allowing it to sit without sliding. It’s a well thought out design aspect adding those footings on it with the ability to adjust them with a turn left or right. Overall I’m extremely happy with my purchase and glad I chose this one over the many leaning shelf options on Amazon. Shipping was very quick as well. Everything came packaged nicely and protected so no damage to the item happened during shipping. All around 5 stars! ... show more

I'm pleased with this purchase. Easy to assemble--I didn't follow the pic instructions(took off 1 star) I started at the bottom and worked my way to the top; adhering one side of metal ladder to a shelf and then the shelf to the other side of the metal ladder. Instructions led to trying to use pressure to push shelves into place. Faux wood shelves are true to color and don't look cheap. The cheap plastic adjustable feet(took off 1 star for sturdiness) could be of a better quality and seem that they could slide on slick floors. I do like the option of changing the height of the ladders with the adjustable feet though. The wall secure mounts are good and can't been seen as they are hidden at the back underneath the top shelf. Took off 1 star for value of money. ... show more

It came well-packaged, with all the parts but assembly revealed a quality control point. The top shelf had one mounting bracket that was welded in a misaligned position. This resulted in two very noticeable issues: the top shelf was not level with the others, and the unit wouldn't sit squarely on the wall. Had I seen this in a store I wouldn't have bought it...unless I wanted to fix it (which I elected to do rather than repackage and return it). That's the reason for my 3-star review. ... show more
