I bought this Bluetooth speaker for my portable record player, which has built-in speakers. Not the best sound quality so I decided to upgrade to a Bluetooth speaker. I am very happy with this Vanzon speaker. Very easy to use and has great sound. I turn off the colored-light feature to extend the battery life. It has some heft to it so do not expect a light-weight speaker. I don't carry it around with me so the weight is not a factor. If I do carry it, it is just to take it to another room. I then just put it down after that. I think I read one review where the reviewer said he puts it in his pocket. Not sure if I would put this in my pocket. In my opinion, it's a little too big for that. The red charging light is very small. I almost couldn't find it the first time I charged this speaker. No bigger though. Now I know where it is. Not a deal breaker. The speaker also has good range. My record player is in the family room and I was able to carry the speaker through the dining room, kitchen and halfway down into the basement before it started cutting out. The sound quality is amazing, with the clearest bass I've heard on such a small speaker! Not to mention it does stay connected at a great distance. However, the battery dies faster than I thought it was supposed to (maybe when the lights are on?) But the only reason I took away a star is because for the normal price it should be louder. I have a small $40 speaker that is about 25% louder and I feel like volume is an important quality here. ... show more

PROs/Cons: Little heavy on bass, but great sound. Easy to connect. Powerful yet wasy to grab with 1 hand. USB-C so i use my Android charger Uniy edges change colors- i dont mind, but teachers/patents beware - keep away from kid who's autistic or has ADHD - they will be easily distracted by the changing colors.     • Amazing is sending a replacement to try.
There are three outlets in the back of this speaker. One that fits a cord (provided) that is a male/female plug to connect to earbuds or phones, one that fits a cord (provided) that has a USB cable at the end for charging and a third narrow slit - use unknown/no cord provided??? I used the USB cord and plugged it into an electrical outlet overnight. After an hour or two the speaker beeped indicating battery weakness and the need to recharge. The write-up on the speaker says it should play for 24 hours on a charge. The booklet that comes with the speaker is confusing and inadequate so I thought I might be doing something wrong but the Amazon agent said she thought it was just defective so I've agreed to try another one. Otherwise, the quality is acceptable if not impressive, as is the volume range. We'll see how it goes..... ... show more
