I bought this toy for my 13 yr old son. As we were going through the building steps, we noticed that 2 of the screws were missing. I had to run to the hardware store to buy 2 screws. On the last leg of the build, we then realized that 2 of the parts that needed to be installed was already installed. I got thinking that, Amazon sold me the product that someone had previously bought and returned. My son and I finished building the toy and gave it a test run. Everything seemed to work except the gun part. We poured in a small handful of the water beads into the gun hopper. As my son hit the button to fire the beads, nothing shot out! Completely jammed up. I spent 10 mins cleaning out the hopper and cleared the jam. I loaded 5 water beads and tried shooting again. Nothing shot out! Right away it jammed up. I reached out to Amazon customer service about the issue. They quickly sent out another one. A couple days later, the company who manufactures the product reached out to me about my dissatisfaction over the product. They were very nice and wanted to make sure the situation was handled correctly. They proved to me that they stand behind their products and customer satisfaction is very important to them. I am very pleased with the outcome. 2/25/23 update I am disappointed yet again. I don’t know if it’s just my luck or what but, after receiving another tank, I ran into the same problem with the turret! Once again it WILL NOT FIRE the water beads. I’ve spend some considerable time trying to figure out why the water beads keep exploding apart when the internal mechanism tries to shoot out the beads. I believe it’s just a poor design. Yet, I’ve read other reviews where people don’t have this issue and others who experience the same issue as I’m having. I’m throwing in the towel. It’s overall a great concept to have a shooting turret but, the design is simply poor at this point. I hope the best of luck to all of you who have or want to purchase this product. ... show more

We bought robot arm for a skit we did for a YouTube video and it worked great. However, since then, we have been unable to stop playing with the thing. It's gotten to the point that it's distracting everyone from work. We set up obstacle courses and all kinds of "tests" for it. We also tease the office cat. The battles between Cat and Robot have become legendary. We're not the smartest folks on the planet so it took us longer than normal to assemble the robot. I estimate about 3 hours of refusing to follow the directions and just slapping parts together until we finally got it right. I'm sure a normal person, using the directions, could prolly assemble this thing in a 1/2 hr or less. The grabber arm is strong enough to hold a small plastic sword and frequently withstands full powered frontal assaults from Office Cat. ... show more

We bought this for our son as a gift. First off the GOOD! This is a very sturdy metal frame and chassis. I was impressed that it wasn’t cheap plastic. The build instructions were a little difficult to follow as they were not in English. It took about an hour and a half to complete the build. The rechargeable battery worked without issue. The remote control worked as advertised with no issues. The driving takes some getting used to but it’s pretty agile and fun to operate. The turret pivots and tilts as advertised. NOW THE BAD! The REALLY REALLY BAD! First is the power control module inside the tank that all the wires connect to. It has an on off button but it doesn’t work at all. As soon as you install the rechargeable battery it turns on. The only way to shut it off is to remove the battery. The operational capability of the wheels would not roll in the yard in short grass. It would only function on flat concrete or low carpet, which is disappointing because it has very beefy wheels and shocks with plenty of ground clearance. Lastly the cannon. This is the MAJOR BAD part of this product. It will NOT fire the beads at all. We soaked them per the instructions, poured them into the hopper and immediately the cannon jammed on firing from the remote as designed. The beads were shattered in the barrel and clogged immediately. We spend the better part of 2 hours cleaning and unclogging the barrel. We tried again and the same thing happened with the included beads. We thought we got a bad batch of beads so we bought and tried a higher quality brand of beads and the same thing happened. There is a serious design flaw in this product that renders it a useless RC tank. Our mistake was waiting so long to assemble the product and test it because we are well beyond a return window so now we are stuck with a RC tank that doesn’t turn off and doesn’t function as advertised. Very disappointed! Conclusion… I can’t recommend this product to anyone. Sadly there is something wrong with the design and you are better off researching other alternatives. We bought 2 of the tanks last Christmas 2022. Our 4 yo built the first one and it will not shoot the water beads . It will only smash them. He built the second one yesterday, June 27, 2023. and the same thing is happening. It will give but only smash the water bead

My 10 yo daughter and I built this after she received it for christmas. Good instructions, but a technical build for a kid. Lots of controls to get the robot arm right where you want it, it’s also pretty fast and fun to just cruise around with it. We had an issue with one of the motors - there are 6 total, and they sent a replacement out quickly at no cost. great toy and built to last. ... show more

The directions are a little hard to follow for English speakers, but the pictures are pretty good, and the parts are well labeled and packaged. It's super fun to drive, and surprisingly fast for a single 18650 battery. It has pretty good lift and grip on the robotic arm.
