I’ve been struggling to find variety packs of reeds as a new player and have loved this small sample pack. The reeds are great quality and have performed excellently. With a lot of choices in the pack you can do many different things and play in different styles. Overall I found the Java Red to be the easiest and best sounding as a beginner. It only takes one bad reed to give you a bad first impression. Green is supposed to be weaker than red yet my red was free blowing and green was hard. With a reed adjustment tool you can get a good idea what to buy later.

If you don't know what reed will work with your mouthpiece, this is the way to go. I was able to figure out that the ideal reed for my mouthpiece (basic Yamaha 4C soprano) is the V16.
