  • Great "All Around" Soprano MPC
Excellent mouthpiece for classical playing, pop music, etc., and I am using this on a soprano sax. An "all around" good player and terrific quality one would expect from Vandoren products. The S25 is the one I purchased of this model. This gives some flexibility for classical playing and a more "open" facing/softer reeds option. One piece of advice...use Vandoren ligatures. I have found that Vandoren mouthpieces typically work better with Vandoren ligatures in fit and use. Reeds do not necessarily follow this "rule," as I use Rico Royals and other non-Vandoren reeds effectively on this mouthpiece. ... show more

  • It's not the best in the world but better than the generic mouthpieces
When trying out this mouthpiece, I didn't really see a huge change. If anything, it seemed more responsive, a little warmer and flexible than the yamaha Though it says it can be used for jazz, it's possible depending on how u want to sound like. If you want to really stand out and have a very bright sound, I wouldn't suggest this one. Jody jazz, metal otto link, and Syro mouthpieces have more of a kick This one seems it works better with classical music. I really didn't see a difference in the two. Just a bit more smoother than than the yamaha one ... show more

  • Restrictive
I found this mouthpiece to be too restrictive - not easily blowing at all. I prefer the Yamaha mouthpiece I already had, so decided to return it.
