This rug is described as having "ultra-fine, ultra-soft faux cashmere fibers". Indeed, it feels more like a baby blanket than a rug. It is thin and doesn't offer much padding, but it also works great near doors that don't have a lot of clearance. The rubber backing is similar to what you find on the bottom of bathroom rugs. You can wash the rug, very gently, but only a few times before the backing starts to flake off. It is probably best to spot-treat anything that won't vacuum up. The edging is very simple and not particularly durable. Be gentle when vacuuming near the edges. The rug arrives folded up, not rolled, so it takes a couple of days for it to flatten out enough to put furniture on. You may need to put heavy weights in the corners during that time to help it lay properly. It's on par with other washable polyester rugs. My only real complaint is that the colors don't look like the picture. Instead of the tan and red accents I expected from the ad, they are orange and pink.

This Vamcheer area rug is virtually what I was looking for to cover a section of floor space in one of our bedrooms. I ordered the 5'X7', green rug, and right out of the package this rug was able to be put in place, with hardly noticing that it was fresh out of the package (just a few fold creases). It came very neatly packaged and folded in a zippered bag, and the rug had additional wrapping for even more protection. It's a thinner, low pile, but very soft rug, that feels very nice underfoot, and it goes under the door without any issues in our bedroom. Although this is a thinner, low pile designed rug, it has a nice, non-slip backing, which helps to keep this rug where you lay it. Additionally, it's not an overly lite area rug, which helps to keep this rug in place, imho, it's machine washable and both me and the wife really like the faded/muted green color, as well as the vintage design pattern. In conclusion, I’m very pleased and satisfied with this Vamcheer area rug! Please see my pics for some good visuals of this item.

The media could not be loaded. I was very excited to receive this rug since it looks so beautiful on the pictures, but when I got it finally I was disappointed. The rug itself was way more colorful than what it shows in the picture, I thought the colors were all close to blue and light blue, but it was more like multicolor and in some sections the color was faded. Also, the rug was really thin, it didn't look flat at all and with marked wrinkles. For other people this rug may be a nice item to place in their living but for me it was not.

The example I received is a bit more washed out with the colors than what is shown on the product page . I actually prefer it this way , but if you need the more vibrant colors as shown , then you may not want to take the chance on it . Thin , 2.5 mm , but very soft on the feet . It is shipped folded , as shown , but all but the center folds disappeared quickly upon rolling it out . I might need to steam out the center fold , although it isn't extreme and doesn't bother me since it runs straight thru the middle of the pattern and doesn't stand out .

You can't beat the price, it's a nice rug. We rolled it on reverse to help it lay flat faster and it seems to have worked. It is on the thinner side, but it feels soft and the size I got, 5'x7' should fit in the washer without issues.

The area rug is soft to walk on (though not very cushiony) and is non-slip. This picture is from when I first laid it down. The wrinkles have now worked their way out and the rug is smooth. I have not tried washing it yet. The color is a VERY blue-green. From the advertising pictures, I thought it was more of a muted green to go with the other earth tones in my kitchen, so I'm disappointed with the color. Otherwise, it's a great rug!

I got this for my son's play room and the color exactly as shown. Nice but a bit thinner than what I would have liked. My son loves the rug as it is very soft at this time. I guess my only other issue was that it’s folded extremely tight and I had to actually take the steam iron to it till the creases were gone. I also like the factor that it is machine washable. All in all a great find.

Such a beautiful pattern ! Ordered this for the area by the man-cave but hubby saw it and was like that’s for the floor on my side of the bed right ? He says his feet freeze on the wood every morning and this would be great ( I’m like the color doesn’t even match ) but he’s insisting. He won because no one sees that side of the bed . He has been happy ever since. He says it keep his feet warm and it’s cushiony too ! He’s very happy !
