  • Works for my 2012 Mazda 5
Size: 1 GA
Mazda firmly believes the transmission fluid lasts for the life of the vehicle. I believe they are wrong. They are so confident that my car only has a dip stick and no fill hole. Well let me tell you. At 80k miles our Mazda 5 AT was having a lot of hiccups when changing low gears and always jerking around when going 40mph then having to gain speed quickly (downshift from 4->3). I swapped so many other parts because I thought the transmission fluid could not be the culprit. I was wrong. After changing spark plugs, coils, wires, swapping the TCM, then trying various snake oils in the gas tank, I gave it one last shot and went for the transmission fluid. I tried getting the OEM fluid from the dealer but one place wouldn't ship it to me and the dealer near me charged an arm and a leg for it. So I read up on the Maxlife product and many people had success so I gave it a shot. I started to drain the old fluid and it was completely black. It was black water coming out and it seemed endless. I filled it back up with Maxlife and saw zero difference. I bought another gallon and 200 miles later did another drain that was all black again! Unbelievable.. I did it 3 more times and finally the fluid was coming out looking fresh. I drove the car hard and saw no stuttering between gears and the dreaded 4->3 downshift jerking was finally gone. I couldn't believe it as I had been dealing with it by driving it very gently for thousands of miles, but can only point to Maxlife as the solution to this. Perhaps other fluids would have worked as well, but I'm glad I went with this stuff. With the car over 150k miles now I will change out the fluid at least once every other oil change. Heck, I might do it every oil change considering it's cheap insurance for me. I've driven the car at least 2k miles since and have had no issues. ... show more

  • Perfect for ford 6f35
Size: 1 GA, Case of 3
My new vehicle has the problematic ford 6f35. Ford fills it with lifetime transmission fluid which we all know isnt such a thing. I have used maxlife in my previous vehicles and its just a fantastic product. Its about 30 dollars cheaper buying it online than If I go through the store. Since ford transmissions are known to be so problematic. I change the fluid in the vehicle when its new to me by doing a drain and refill x2. I then also do a drain and refill x1 every 15k miles or once a year. If 25 dollars saves me a six thousand dollar transmission repair its a no brainer. The ford transmissions are so simple to do drain and repairs on that its a no brainer. The fluid for our vehicle takes an LV. LV turns dark very quickly. I changed the fluid in my 2017 ford Taurus with 23k miles upon me receiving the vehicle. The fluid was absolutely black and I didn't quite like the feel of the transmission. I am now 500 miles since i did the drain refill x2 and its so silky smooth. I know there are more expensive LV acceptable transmission oils out there, but I did a ton of research and this is by far the best bang for the buck. I cannot justify spending 60 dollars a gallon for Redline D6. I guess if i wasn't planning on doing my maintenance routine I would feel differently. The biggest issue is the 6f35 does not have a readily serviceable filter. I would rather just guarantee that my fluid just doesnt stay in the transmission that long. ... show more

  • Good replacement oil for Valvoline Extended Protection
Size: 1 GA
Valvoline doesn't make Valvoline Extended Protection 5W-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5 Quart any more for my 2012 Kia Optima so I emailed Valvoline and they said this was the replacement oil. My car is a turbo and even though the oil is synthetic the oil should still be replaced every 3,000 miles.

  • Works well in GM 4L60E Chevy Silverado 2wd
Size: 1 GA
This fluid has works well in my 2005 Silverado 2wd with a 4L60E transmission. I installed a fluid pan with a drain plug and filled with this atf. A few miles later I drained the pan and refilled with this atf. I did over again a few times until almost all of the old atf was replaced with this atf. My truck run/shifts very well with this atf. ... show more
