    • Not Just For Food
I bought this machine for multiple reasons. First, I live in a "disaster" prone are where I might have to evacuate with very short notice. A Go Bag is a necessity, this is a back pack or suitcase with everything you might need for up to 72 hours in an evac. shelter or on your own. In my case I need to have a supply of my medications on hand. The HODAY vacuum sealer provided all the functions for me to portion out my daily medicines sealed so they remain fresh. After that I wondered what else it could be used for... toothbrushes, razors, travel size products like shampoos, toothpaste, lotions and the like. Sealing them makes them leak proof. The machine itself is remarkably easy to use and the instructions clear enough, although, there is a bit of the translation glitch in the instructions. You know what I mean. There is no real learning curve for the average user. Review the instructions and use. I was pleased with my choice. Other things you might need to vacuum seal, important papers, passports, birth certificates, cash, spare keys, photos. My next use is to make beef jerky. ... show more

Great little machine, does not take up a lot of space. Works as expected, just make sure it clicks shut on both sides before pressing start. So far, so good.

It's just okay. You get what you pay for. It does work, but you wouldn't want to use it for long time freezer use, because it doesn't get all the air out of the bags.

We do canning and freezing of fruits and vegetables. When I was with my sister, I used her food sealer and liked it so much and found it easy to use so when we returned home, my husband ordered one for me. It works well, but I find myself no using it like I thought I would, but It works perfectly I learned how to use it with the instructions provided, trial and error with it a few times and sure did awesome for my meat.
