The media could not be loaded. The nut that keeps the vise from freely rotating when tightened just melted right off as soon as I unboxed the thing and tried to use it. I've never seen a cheaper made tool in my life. I mean it works and the suction power is very strong, but wow is this thing fragile.     • Perfect for small work
Right now it is holding an ASSA ABLOY cylinder lock which is waiting to be successfully picked (not yet but soon). It is sturdy enough and weights enough that it can hold a 1.5-pound lock in its jaws without mishap. The vacuum base holds quite well, especially if you clean both surfaces. I recommend this vise to anyone who is into locksport or other work where a small, portable vise is needed. ... show more

    • Good vice, bad vacuum seal.
The vice itself works fine. The soft jaws are nice and don't scratch. It's got an easy, full rotation. But the base doesn't seal. At all. It's not that the seal is weak, it simply doesn't seal even a little bit. I'm using it on glass, recently cleaned, and I've tried using water and oil to assist the seal, but no dice. I've found a way to use a small wood clamp to secure it where I need it, but if that's not an option for you and you absolutely must have it secure to a smooth surface, I'd look elsewhere. ... show more

    • Probably good for light projects.
Sadly, I would have given this thing a better review, but I was trying to tighten the muzzle device on my gun, and snapped the pin holding the vise. So, for small projects, probably great, for really cranking on things, not so much. Too bad to, loved the rubber grippers on the vise.

    • Okay for light weight projects
This is a vice for very light duty projects. I do like the design of the vice. Only issue would be the suction to hold the vice to a hard surface. I find if you wet it a bit - it works much better. For the price I would recommend it as a good light weight and portable vice.

    • Nice little vise
This is a good little vise for attaching to a counter, comes in handy to hold glued items together, or for working on all sorts of small projects, it has acceded my expectations.

    • Not recommended for small pieces
Holds suction for a few minutes no matter what you do, I'm using it on a marble top and can't get it to stay longer than a couple of minutes, plus the jaw is wabbaly, doesn't clamp small pieces.

Would not hold suction to marble countertop. Made numerous attempts. Was not big enough to open even average size jars. When I tried a UPS return they refused it so I tossed it. I will just have to eat this one.
