I have only been using this vacuum for a couple weeks so I cannot speak to the extended life aspect of it. But for cleaning it works really well. We had a shop vac that worked but was in the way and kind of beaten up. This vacuum has better suction, is more convenient being mounted on the wall and looks great. I thought that it would be quieter than the shop vac...which it most certainly is NOT. This isn't a problem, just some people online said they were really quiet, they are just as loud as a shop vac. The 50ft hose is great but when you hang it up with the supplied hanger it doesn't quite fit unless you use larger loops (let it hang lower) then its fine. Just mount it a bit higher than you might have otherwise. Customer service is great so far. I ordered the standard tool kit to supplement the car kit...they were designed for a different diameter hose adapter. I emailed for assistance with this and they helped me right away. Unless this thing suddenly dies or something unforeseen then I give this five stars! ... show more
