I always wanted something like this as a kid and they were too expensive. I remember going to hobby lobby and looking at it with my mom. A "visible V8" and it was something like $100 back then in 1998. Since I couldn't get one I wanted my son to at least get something like it and this I got this for his birthday. It comes with a stand, battery compartment, and motor. Thus far it is going together great and no missing pieces to be found. It's been a joy putting it together with my 8 year old though honestly he could easily do it himself. I guess I'm living a bit through my son on this one but he enjoys the father son time and I enjoy him being happy with his blocks. I gotta say it's a well designed kit and I even really like the box and presentation of it. Seems very high quality all around. If you have a kid that likes building blocks I suggest trying this and spending sometime with them.. they grow up so quickly.

This building set is terrific. Some of the instructions are a bit confusing, but since the build is fairly complex and complicated, this isn't completely unexpected, and they do make sense eventually. It's very interesting much of the build is actually hidden in the finished project -- there are a lot of moving parts inside! I appreciated the card included letting us know an easy way to contact the manufacturer if any pieces were missing or incorrect. We didn't need to use that information, because everything we needed was included. Ultimately, this was an enjoyable set for older kids, and the result was something much different than our usual building block kits.

The model is complicated, with 1123 pieces comes with a motor and battery box and a display stand. Once completed, the engine has movement of the pistons, gears and belts and valves that are connected to the power unit. The model measures about 7.5” x 5” x 7.75”, including the stand. This V8 Engine Technic Building Blocks Set by NERCISU is a pretty cool build.

Challenging model of an eight cylinder engine, I bought it from my son who is starting to get into cars and motors. I'll give him a good idea of what components are involved. It's over 1000 pieces so I hope he doesn't get frustrated. He's looking forward to it. It's gonna take a while and hopefully it keeps him off of his computer games for a while.
