This is a really great task for kids that want to learn engine components, and feel like they built a car, when doing a car kit with the big brand. There are some things that were not ideal, the parts were not complete, as some were formed improperly. It's does have separate bags, and good instructions though. My son who has built 18+ lego kits felt this was much more difficult.

V8 Engine Building Set from the Mavo brix Store This V8 Engine Building Set from the Mavo brix Store is pretty impressive. The model is of an V8 engine that has a lot of movement. The movement is powered by 6 AAA batteries (not included) which is a bit archaic now days. I wish that it was powered by a rechargable USB battery pack. When powered up the engine has the ability to run with a forward or reverse rotation. I’m not a mechanic, but can a V8 engine run in reverse? When running you are able to watch the piston strokes, crankshaft rotation and the valves move. This model is great and shows how a gas powered V8 engine works. The model is pretty complicated, with XXX pieces and an instruction manual that has XX steps and XX pages. The pieces seem to be compatible with Lego brand, but I can not confirm that because I don’t have any name brand blocks available at the moment to test compatibility. This V8 Engine Building Set from the Mavo brix Store is fun and realistic.

Since this is going to be a Christmas present, I am unable to give a complete and detailed review, but from the first looks, it's going to be quite the project to put together. The quality of the pieces is good and there are a LOT of them. I am guessing the build time will be pretty long since there are so many pieces. They are bagged up nicely though to make the build easier. I will update this later this year once we gift it to our son.

Great kit had a few parts where they wouldn’t sit right but eventually after moving past everything seemed to find its home. Instructions had me scratch my head once or twice but nothing taking your time and retracing your steps didn’t fix. I’m about 90% done and my own fault, messed up, so I’ve got some repair work to do!

This V8 engine model kit was a blast to put together and ended up looking even better than I expected. The pieces fit well, the moving parts are satisfying to watch, and the included motor adds a cool touch once it’s all assembled. It makes a great display piece and was a really enjoyable project from start to finish.

I got this because I love building things and cannot get out to do them anymore. This kit comes with a 118 pieces. Just enough to challenge you. But not too much to overwhelm you. I have built real engines and this does a nice job showing how a v8 works. You will need to purchase 6aaa batteries to operate it when it is done. I have enjoyed this product and think you will too.

This is more complex than most built kits, and is perfect for the teen or adult that likes building models. It uses AAA batteries to run, and is fun to see all the moving pieces going forward or in reverse. It kept our teen happy and busy for a couple of days, and dad liked helping. It comes with clear instructions, and none of the pieces were missing.
