  • Great quality
We have a lot of kiddos in our family that love putting stuff together and there are a few boys that are really into cars and I thought they would love this. This game very well packed and secured and everything was exactly as described to be. Nothing was missing or damaged from delivery and it was all in great condition. It was simple and straightforward to get put together as long as you follow the instructions and they said it was simple and straightforward to get fully assembled. These are very well made and very durable so they do not break easily. They match up perfectly with the measurements in the ad so it is the exact size that we thought it would be. This definitely adds educational value too because they can easily learn about getting the parts put together. Awesome gift great quality very heavy duty very well made and worth every penny. Definitely a solid 10 out of 10 great quality product ... show more

  • Not just for kids
This thing is challenging to build and it’s quite large when finished. You can demonstrate how the internal combustion engines are built and how the internal components interact. It’s another amazing kit from Suplanet. I’ve built many of them and they are a lot of fun.

  • Great for teaching build set
My daughter and I love building block sets and this did not disappoint. My daughter is beginning to love understanding how things work and this is an excellent small scale engine. There are a lot of moving pieces on this thing. I let my daughter put the whole thing together and we enjoyed it greatly. There were no missing parts, in fact we had a small pile of extra parts left over. The instructions were very clear. As with most kits like this, there were a few steps that were hard to figure out and we put it together wrong before putting it together correctly. My daughter finished building this when I wasn’t helping her and she got one of the gears aligned incorrectly and unfortunately this drained the battery very quickly. I have to take it apart and see where she assembled it wrong. However, this was a very fun set and I was able to explain how many aspects of a car engine operate while building this. A little on the expensive side but there are a lot of pieces and it is a good build. Highly recommend for the engine enthusiast or someone teaching how engines work. ... show more

  • A Fantastic Father-Daughter Project
I bought this V8 engine kit with a specific goal in mind: to give my two daughters, 11 and 13, a hands-on look at how an engine actually works. It turned out to be the perfect tool for the job, and I'm giving it a full five stars for the experience it provided. What I really liked was that this wasn't some simple, dumbed-down toy. With almost 1400 pieces, it was a legitimate project that we had to tackle together. The instructions were surprisingly clear, and watching the girls figure out how the crankshaft connects to the pistons and makes them move was exactly what I was hoping for. It took a concept that's hard to explain with words and made it something we could see and touch. The final product is impressive. Once we finished, we flipped the switch, and the whole assembly whirred to life. The pistons pump, the lights flash, and the little spray feature that mimics exhaust is a great touch. It provides that satisfying payoff that makes the effort of the build feel worthwhile. As for dislikes, a few of the smaller pieces were a bit finicky to snap into place, requiring a bit of patience and a steady hand. But that's a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things. In terms of value, it's not the cheapest building set out there, but you're paying for more than just a pile of plastic blocks. You're paying for a well-designed educational kit and, for me, several evenings of quality time spent with my kids, building something cool together. It successfully turned a complex piece of machinery into a fun and understandable puzzle. ... show more

  • Great Gift for Engine and Building Block Fans – Adults Will Love It!
I bought this for a friend who’s into engines and building sets (think Legos), and he absolutely loved it. He said it took longer to put together than he’d like to admit, but really enjoyed the process and the end result. Getting the companion app to work on his older iPhone took a little effort, but once it was up and running, he was able to get the engine moving and appreciated all the little interactive details like the spray and light. This is a fantastic and thoughtful gift for anyone who loves mechanical things and building kits. Honestly, I can’t imagine an 8-year-old completing this unless they’re very patient and good with detailed work—it’s definitely better suited for teens and adults. Awesome product overall! ... show more

  • A working engine on my desk
Building this little V8 engine was way more fun than I expected. The pieces clicked together with that perfect balance of challenge and satisfaction, and when it all came alive, I couldn’t stop grinning. Watching the pistons fire and hearing the simulated rev is just ridiculously cool. It feels less like a toy and more like a hands-on STEM project. I can see how it would get kids hooked on mechanics, but as an adult, I loved every step of the process too. The spray and lights were a flashy bonus that made the finished piece feel alive. Now it’s just sitting on my desk, occasionally roaring to life when I need a break. It’s both a conversation starter and a reminder that sometimes grown-ups need toys too. ... show more

  • A lot of fun!
I put this together with my grandson. It was fairly advanced and took several days to assemble. We had a good time and were pleased with the results when we got to see it "run." I will say that you have to pay VERY close attention to the directions. Many of the parts are very similar and there are a number of times when it's easy to put something in upside-down or backwards. (Ask me how I know!) I'll also say that some of the pieces fit VERY tightly and it takes a good amount of hand strength to get them to "click." This model is really cool. It was a challenge, but worth it! ... show more
