This does not work as a backup battery. You cannot use up the headset battery and then plug this battery in. The battery charge is to slow. This only works when both batteries are charged and running together. I would play the extra money to buy the headset with the battery backup as is the system with my quest 2. Update: Customer service is great and very helpful and did post a refund even though I had the item for more and 30 days. I raised the rating to 4 stars.

The main thing that drew me too this specific headband was showing the fact that you could rotate the headset up away if you wanted to look at something while keep the headset on but I found that really the feature I like is the hot swappable battery. I think I saw some other sellers at a similar item include two batteries but this one just comes with the one and it works just fine but it's nice that I can have my headset charged up and then when it's getting close to being depleted I can attach the second battery and charge it back up or just extend my play time.

The headset is comfortable once I figured out how to put it together. The battery did not come with a charger to buy another one separately. When the batteries charging only one blue light flashes. Charged it overnight and it doesn’t look like battery is at full charge.

Definitely feels more balanced than the stock head strap. Battery was okay, gave ~1 hr extra on full charge on mix of gaming and video. But, feels cheap, no retention on joints so it just moves around and is flimsy. Rear portion doesn't get as good a grasp as you'd think. The little silicone feeling cover for the eyes keeps falling off near the nose area and isn't that comfortable. Top two little hook shaped parts with pads feels pointless. Returned it, and waiting for the Kiwi + battery strap.

This thing is uncomfortable and the battery really sucks takes for ever to charge and just says slow charging on my meta wouldn’t recommend it at all can’t get an extra battery either
