All we use is hammocks in our sleeping. Even in the house we use hammocks because of comfort and NO back pain. This hammock at such a low cost made me skeptical but for the price I went for it. The spacious hammock arrived promptly and works great! The included straps are very nice bonus and make setup and takedown a breeze if you already have 2 tie in points that they can reach. We bought 3 of these hammocks, they are amazing. We have a $50 one we bought from a hiking store and we cannot tell the difference between them. Very comfortable, nice and large. The straps are very well made.

I just got back from a 2 day backpacking trip where I used this hammock. I’ve never used a hammock for camping and I was not let down. First day of hiking was grueling, I decided to call it a night at 6pm because I was overly tired from hiking. I slept 12 whole hours in this hammock and woke up feeling refreshed and ready to start my day. I can’t remember the last time I slept that long. A combination of this hammock, a running creek, and the sounds of nature made that possible. I’m 5’11” and 225 lbs and it had no issues holding me.     • Perfect backpacker – or anywhere - hammock!

I’ve always had a hammock or two lying around. I’ve even made a few in years gone by, but they were all the diamond mesh type. Out of curiosity, I thought that I’d try a fabric hammock and this one is *comfortable*! I’m 6’1”, 300 pounds and this hammock never complained a bit. I never worried about hitting the ground (as I have done in lesser hammocks) – the tree straps, carabiners, head ropes and fabric are surprising robust for such a lightweight hammock that packs down into a bag the size of a Cantaloupe! The stuff sack storage bag is stitched to the side of the fabric, by the way, so it will not become lost. The only difficulty that I had was getting my hanging length adjusted. The tree straps were too long, so I had to tie the free end of the strap into a Bowline knot. Otherwise, the multiple loops on one end of each strap give some adjustment to getting hang length and hang height correct. Most people use a hammock lengthways, and with lawn hammocks or mesh hammocks, this is entirely acceptable. This fabric hammock will not allow this! To use this hammock, either straddle the hammock close to one end or sit down near the middle, like you would do on a swing. With either method, the next thing to do is stretch out the fabric under you so you are laying either perpendicular or at an angle to the hang direction. If you are somehow successful in managing to lie lengthwise, the unstretched fabric will do its best to throw you to one side or the other, or if you get all the fabric well distributed under you, the sides will close over you like a Kangaroo pouch! If you lay at an angle, though, the hammock is very comfortable! The taffeta fabric is cool even in the heat, and wicks perspiration away. One thing must be said – do *not* use Mosquito repellant before or during the use of the hammock. DEET and other chemicals in the repellant may quickly and seriously weaken the fabric. Other than that, this thing looks to be easy to wash and fairly durable; even though I scuffed the ground a few times, the fabric showed no damage. ... show more

This lightweight hammock is light and small enough in its stuff pouch that you can take it camping with you. The little stuff bag can't get lost on your trip because it's actually sewn into the hammock. The carabiners are thick and sturdy appearing and the webbing hammock straps also look to be strong. The media could not be loaded. I wanted to give this camping hammock five stars, but it has several flaws. PROS: This portable single parachute hammock comes in a small carry bag that is attached to it. With the carry bag attached, you can use it to hold a cell phone or a book while enjoying your time in the hammock. The fabric is lightweight, dries fast, and seems durable. But I don't know for sure because I've only used it once so far. However, the price listed looks pretty affordable. CONS: My issue is it does not come with instructions on how to tie the knots, and I'm still confused about how to connect it to a tree. The strap that comes with it is not long enough to wrap twice on the trees. Sewing is one of my hobbies & I always look at how an item is sewn. But the stitches on this one are not that great. Overall I think it is still a good hammock for comfort & affordability. And I enjoyed my time in nature while I was in it as I watched the sky, birds & trees above me. Thank you! :-) ... show more
