Perfect size for my king memory foam mattress. It’s soft to the touch and just grippy enough to keep the fitted sheet from sliding around. It generated a *lot* of lint on the first wash, so I recommend washing it on its own and using a dryer sheet even if you don’t normally use them (I don’t). I needed extra padding, but did not want something too buiky, and this served the purpose. I always have problems with finding something to fully cover my mattress because is not the usual size. To me like a California queen thickness seems close to the issue. Standard queen does not always fit right on my custom made mattress, so was glad to see that my entire mattress was covered completely tucked under the mattress top. Since I have a thick padded mattress topper, this one covered it well and so far do not always have to stretch the sides down when making the bed because it came off. Recommend and price was good. This is a nice soft microfiber fitted mattress pad. It seems to fit nicely and does not shift around while sleeping with my microfiber sheets on it. The pad itself is not that thick but the quilting is such that you don't feel the stitching through my microfiber sheets and that is what I have been looking for. I don't want to feel anything but the soft microfiber pad without feeling the stitching of the pad itself.
