I have awful lighting in my house. My kitchen is not too big, but there is a fixture near the countertops and there is a ceiling fan with lights about 8 ft. away. The one near the countertops has these odd chandelier lights that you can replace, but they aren't supposed to be installed sideways or upside down. I was down to one working light. The new light was to kick this one and its bulb nonsense to the curb. I also have plans to install the other one, but I'm not sure where yet. I do have some electric experience. The light looks straightforward, however the wires are a bit short. I am short, so trying to wire up the new light, I couldn't work right up on the ceiling. It's just my suggestion you pick up extra wire to have on hand (and twist nuts). I wasn't sure if I had wire up in the ceiling to pull down, so I just had extra stuff on hand to make them longer before I even took the old one down. The light settings are really nice to have. Since it is in my kitchen, I chose the 4000k setting to match the bulb above my sink. It is a thousand times better than what I was working with before. For the price, you really can't beat having two lights. My question is, can you replace the light bulb? Or it more landfill waste? I've had LED bulbs throughout my home for close to 20 year now and they do burn out. It might because my area all got crappy wiring in our houses built in the 60s. I guess I will have to wait and see. For now, it will save me money through efficiency and light my rooms up. I'll take it.

I used these to replace the old circa-1978 globe lights under my carport. The installation was very easy -- they come with a mounting bracket that installed easy into the exist round junction box. Then you connect the black and white wires with included wire nuts. And finally, the light twists and locks securely onto the mounting base. I think I installed both in fewer than 20 minutes, including removing the old lights and reading the instructions. They also have the ability to set the temperature light that you want. Three choices: bright white, warm white, and in the middle. I chose the middle option. You set the switch before you twist/lock the light to the mount, so be sure to do that as part of the process. Though you can pretty easily untwist the light and make the change later if needed. They are very thin, as advertised -- not more than an inch thick. They broadcast a nice even light over a large area. I'm happy with everything here -- the light is as expected, the installation was a little easier than expected. Glad to finally have the dim old lights replaced with these brighter, modern, efficient new ones.

Wow. The UthCracy LED Flush Mount Ceiling Light 12 Inch is SO BRIGHT. I installed this UthCracy LED Flush Mount Ceiling Light 12 Inch in my garage loft. Installation was a breeze. I attached the two wires and turned it on. The thin form factor was welcome in my loft space, as headroom is at a premium. I must reiterate that the light is bright. It is equivalent to a 100W fluorescent lamp. That brings me to my one issue with the light. The color temperature switch is in a recessed location on the back of the light. One has to turn off the power, take the light off the mount, flip it over, move the electric wires out of the way, and toggle the switch to change the temperature. I like the modern slim design, but the toggle should reside in a more readily accessible location. If it was on the back near the edge of the light, one wouldn't have to turn off power to change the color temperature. I took a star off because of the placement of the switch.

I own rental properties and use these types of LED lights often. When I received the twin pack, I opened it and they looked and felt like good quality for the price. A few days later I was able to install one in a tenants kitchen to replace her old gold-colored single bulb light fixture that was probably 20 years old. Installation was super easy. The bracket mounts to the box in the ceiling and then the light twists onto the bracket. There is also a switch that allows you to adjust the color temperature. This is a great feature, allowing you to match the lighting already in your house if you so choose. This new LED light is MANY times brighter than her old one and she was very appreciative to be able to see. It also casts the light into a large area so that is also a plus for this situation. I will probably mount the second light in a spare bedroom and replace the old style fixture that was in there. These LED flush mount lights are great, only using around 24w of power but are very bright. Overall 5 stars...Thanks, and hope this was helpful!

This lights is bright and the ability to set the color of the white light is very easy to set and the warm white color is very appealing. This will need to be set at the time of install however it is easy to adjust by simply twisting the fixture to access the switch. The diffusion plate provide a nice pattern of diffused light for larger spaces. The install was a small challenge as it did not fit my existing pan box however this was an easy fix by drilling new holes and using longer screws. This may turn off less experienced installers. The wires coming out of the fixture are also short due to the larger wire casing being longer. Again, this is pretty easy to cut off to lengthen the connection wires. One interesting item is that if you set the color to certain settings it triggers only certain LEDs so in theory in the 3000K setting not all of the LEDs are on. No biggie, just interesting. I would recommend this light for a hallway, laundry room, or larger closet.
