I've bought and assembled a lot of furniture similar to this. I was impressed with this one from the moment I opened the box. It may seem silly, but I'm sure some will understand when I mention how excited I was that the styrofoam that was protecting the pieces was completely intact - no little balls of styrofoam floating all over the place. That's one of my biggest gripes but was not an issue here at all. I think that says a lot about the company right off the bat that they are using quality foam and not the crummy bargain stuff that falls apart if you look at it the wrong way. Every piece was well packaged and protected. Each panel was labeled with a letter, on an edge where it was easy to remove during assembly, not on the panel requiring goo gone to get off - another point in their favor! The hardware was in a box with a red string connecting it to the outside of the box so you knew exactly where to find it. Each bag was labelled with a number. There was not one single dent ding or scuff on any of the panels. Assembly was easy following the pictorial instructions. I did use an electric screwdriver which made quick work of it. I assembled it in less time than one episode on Prime Video - so maybe about 40-45 minutes? I'm a not-fit 44 year old female and it was easy to maneuver and put together. I appreciated that the back panels were installed with little screws rather than nails. Even tho there were no pilot holes for the screws to go in to on the edges of the side panels, the alignment was spot on and I didn't have a single misaligned screw so no pop-throughs. My bathroom doesn't offer much wall space for a cabinet and I was looking for something of a very specific size to fit in front of my shower and this cabinet fit the bill perfectly. Now I have a spot for cleaning supplies and a few extra hand towels and toilet paper, instead of across the house in the linen cabinet. On the top shelf on the top half is adjustable, the one below it is fixed. The 2 shelves inside the cabinet are also adjustable, each allowing for 3 positions. With the top at the highest and the bottom at the lowest, there is enough space in the middle for cleaning supplies like spray cans and spray bottles. I actually just assembled another piece of this collection, the corner cabinet, and was just as impressed. Its obvious that this company wants their furniture to arrive to you in perfect shape. They do not include any extra hardware, but there is a card with the directions on how to contact them if anything is damaged or missing. While I didn't need to utilize this for either piece, I get the impression they would take care of it, if their packaging and quality is any kind of indication. The materials are well made. The panels are heavy duty, the finish is crisp and flawless, their pre-drilled holes are spot on. I have no qualms about recommending this to anyone, even at the current price of $140. While it seems a bit expensive for a piece like this, if I compare it to the similar cheaper cabinet I bought for another bathroom, I do feel like you're getting what you paid for. 5 stars to UTEX! ... show more

Th cabinet assembly takes about 1.5 hours at most and may be less, it requries assembly of the bototm part and them the top part and them marry them together. The assembly is described well in the directiosn and all parts are there with a few extra screws just in case. The assembly is wiht dowels that add extra strentth, themetal pins and clasps that hold this type of furniture together and then small screws to screw the back on. All holes are precisely drilled in the exast position needed. All screws go in easy, even the small ones that screw the back panel to the top and bottom segments are easy. The one suggestion I ahve is make sure that the back sidew ith the sticker is facing outward toward the wall as the sticker is difficult to remove. You know, those modern stickers that are so super strong that they take days to peel off. I made a few minor scratches on teh paint surface while i was assembling, i was able to wash those off with soft scrub and a sponge, seriously they came right off. This is not heirloom furniture that passes generation to generation, that went out many yeass ago. this is affordable easty to assembly and very nice looking extra storage space for a modern or country apartment. This can even be in a doctors office or other place such as a kitchen were a little storage is needed here and a little storage there. I was overwhelmed with how well thiis looks in our bathroom and how much it stores. It is only about 6' tall and has spce on top for a decoaragtive element and is nice as it lets light pass by instead of being a full height to ceiling cabinet that would block light. Recently, I remodeled my master bath. I replaced a platform tub with a free standing one and freed up a little more space. I thought this small storage cabinet might it. So, I ordered it. After assembly I put it in the master bath. So far it looks like this storage cabinet fits fine. I am just not sure which way I should orient it. I like good design. This storage cabinet was designed by some good designer and well-engineered. The assembly instruction was excellent. It is technically a set of illustrations which is well done. There are quite a few parts and hardware for this cabinet. The parts are lettered and the hardware are numbered. Everything is well organized. As I retired engineer, I appreciate the work that went into these illustrations. I have no problem following the illustrations and assemble this cabinet. It took me about 2 hours to finish the assembly. It was a little work but I actually enjoy doing it. This storage cabinet is very stable and it looks fine too. I am going to share some points with potential buyer of this cabinet which might be helpful and save some time. Get two screwdrivers, those with ratchet action is preferable. A power tool would be helpful but not a necessity. A power tool would speed up installing the back cover of the cabinet. (I forgot to charge my batteries and did not want to wait. I installed all those screws by hand at the back with aid of a prick punch.) A prick punch, a small hammer and a rubber mallet would be helpful too. Organized and lay out the little bags of hardware. This way, one does not have to waste time looking for them On page 12, the illustration does not show the orientation of the cross member (part D). The painted side is the top of the door opening and should be facing down. Place the back covers with the edges that have the half holes together. If not sure how to orient the hinge, look at the posted picture. Do not over tighten the hardware to prevent stripping of the threads in the wood. This Freestanding Storage Cabinet reminds me similar furnitures from IKEA. It does take a little work to assemble but the end result is quite pleasing. It would also give you a satisfaction of a job well done. If you need a small storage cabinet, this is a good choice. Recommended. ... show more
