These work well for adapting your USB-C cables to older power banks and PC/car connections. They work fine for reasonable charging speeds -- but they are USB 2.0, so not nearly as fast as USB 3.0 for data transfer. As the world moves to USB-C devices and cables, these are the small adapters that keep you connected to ubiquitous USB-A sockets.

I connected the adapter to my brand new iphone 16 and to the USB plug in my 2018 Honda Accord and CarPlay refuses to work with it. I get the same error message each time. "Unable to start Apple CarPlay. When safe, please confirm the USB connection." I guess the implication is that the car is moving? The car is not moving. It's parked. I have tried it with the car started and in park and in accessory mode so the car is not started but the audio is functioning. Nothing I do can get them to work. I also bought a USB to USB C adapter cable at the same time and it works perfectly with CarPlay. Carplay starts without any issues. No troubles at all. I tried all four of the adapters that came in the package and got the same result. None of them will work with my CarPlay. When the adapter is plugged into the USB port, Carplay will not work. It seems like CarPlay can't see my iphone when the adapter is used. I did look at your technical support and did not find anything helpful. It shouldn't be this difficult for a little device no bigger than my thumbnail. It should just be plug and play

The short story is that these are what you'd expect (and that's a good thing): USB A male to USB C female adapters. They work, they're low-profile, and the price is right. Among other places, I tried one in a powered USB hub, and it works fine for powering a higher-end headphone amp DAC and for charging my iPhone. The longer story is that these adapters (and the ones going the other direction - USB C - A) are as important to have around as... I dunno, pens. It's 50/50 whether the USB the cable you have has the right plug - especially if you're on an airplane and want to charge your phone. Put these in your laptop bag and you'll never worry!

As we are getting more and more USB-C cables, there adapters allow us to still use our existing USB-A ports. They are small, and work well. I highly recommend them.

If you need to adapt USB A to USB C, these will do the trick. Tons of places make them and from what I can tell, they're all the same / decent quality. I put these in some charging blocks and am very happy with them.

I travel a lot and I am always in need of the USB A connection for my phone/iPad cord for hotels, airplanes, etc. I carry these adapters around everywhere. I can't tell you how handy they are and how often I use them. I highly recommend getting these and keeping them with your travel gear.

I wish the electronic accessory world would make up its mind - I have devices that only take USB C's and chargers and batteries that only take USB-A's, and then some that are the opposite. That's why it's such a necessity to have a few of these around (and extras for when other people steal them) ... so this is a bargain and a G*d-send. And they are solid and work well and a good price.
