The media could not be loaded. I wasn't sure what to expect with this microphone, but after testing it out I think it's a phenomenal value for those looking to record a number of different types of sounds. For me, the spoken word vocal use is my primary use - and in this regard it's really good. I would say it's on par with the sound that I get from my more expensive Blue Yeti microphone. I've tested out a few other mics in this price range - but thing this one sounds better! In this video I used the mic for the introduction, as well as the spoke dialog after the unboxing. I even recorded a bit of poorly played acoustic guitar to see how it worked in picking up the sound of a musical instrument. This would make a great entry level mic for YouTube creators, Podcasters or basically anyone looking for a great sounding plug and play USB microphone! Things I like ------------------------------- All in one kit with stand and accessories Very good audio quality and sound Not too big or heavy, easily fits on desk or other locations Universal connector if you want to put the microphone mount on a different stand Things that could be improved ------------------------------- An on board mute button would be great to mute the signal at the microphone if needed It would also be great to have a microphone gain control, but it's not totally necessary - I like that this is mostly plug and play! My daughter is an aspiring Youtuber (apparently that's a career path these days) and needed a microphone. I didn't want to spend a fortune on the professional models so I purchased this one based on the other reviews and my daughter is ecstatic over the quality. Pros: Clear sound quality. Everyone will notice you're using a high end mic. The physical filters are great. Stands well on its own. Easy to install. Plug and play. Cons: No mute button. Wired. (I can dream, ok?) Readjusting can be hectic. If it is sensitive enough to hear you talk, it'll hear you whisper, and it'll hear the sounds of the plates moving in the kitchen two rooms away.     • Fantastic quality microphone - great value!
I bought this microphone to record music at home. I wanted a decent starter microphone I felt comfortable using that had a great sound. After using this all day since I unboxed it, I'm quite pleased with the quality. First off, the microphone was packaged nicely and had lots of foam to protect all the pieces. Assembly was easy even though the instructions weren't super clear. The base is nice and heavy and everything screwed in nicely. The only thing that concerned me was that the pop filter felt a little cheap so I would be extra careful with it so it doesn't break. After plugging it in to my mid 2012 Macbook Air, it worked seamlessly and sounds fantastic! **Edit: This is perfect for beginners who are recording an untreated room. There's slight distortion on the high end if you get too loud, too close. That being said, it's sensitive enough to produce a great sound if it's placed well, but not sensitive enough to pick up every little sound in your house - which is what you want if you're recording in an untreated room.     • Can't use 2 on a Mac
The sound quality is great, but you cannot use 2 at the same time on a Mac. The Audio Midi only detects one microphone. I bought 2 back in April to start a podcast this summer, so I am out of the return period. Save yourself the time and headache trying to connect 2 of these to a Mac. I have spent countless hours watching videos, researching the manufactures website (trying to get ahold of them is a COMPLETE JOKE), reading articles, and even contacting Apple Support who say this is the manufactures problem, not there's. I tried 2 other USB mics and they did both pick up, so it's not my Mac, but these mics. don't buy if you need 2 mics. If you only need one, the sound quality is great, so you should get it. ... show more

I use this mic for gaming/streaming. I have a buddy that just got this mic. I was super impressed by the audio quality, so I did my own research and ended up buying it myself. Great product! The audio quality is superb! For the price you can't beat the sound you get from it. I just replaced my AT-2020 with it.
