Works great. I originally wasn't keen on the separate USB-C power supply but it plugs right in to the USB on the back of my TV. Which means when the TV is on the device is on and charging the Switch. I definitely like the portability, wraps up nice to fit in a case with the Switch on the move. Overall I like it just as much if not better than the dock. ... show more

    • Doesn't work without external power

This cable works as you expect, except that it has to have an external power supply. It won't just pass HDMI, you have to have a power supply as well. I bought it thinking the power supply was optional and just if you wanted to charge, but nope, it won't work without it.

Bought this to use on my PC. Tried hooking it up to the TV but couldn't because of certain reasons. Helps charge Switch but otherwise doesn't seem to work. Not sure if I am doing something wrong. I posted a question but i might need to return.

I was all excited to finally play breath of wild from my TV screen again and then realized there's no where to hook up the controller. So in order to play I have to stand right in front of my TV because the cord doesn't reach any further. What a ridiculous design and waste of money. I travel a lot for work and stay in quite a few hotels. This is nice for me to be able to hook up to the tv in the hotel and play my switch versus having to pack an entire dock station or play from the switch screen for prolonged periods of time.
