We were camping at KQ Ranch RV Resort, 4 miles south of Julian, Ca in the San Diego County "Cuyamaca Mountains" and the guy next to us had his satellite antennae access blocked by Pine trees. I was talking to him and he offered that it was ok... they just watched Netflix. There was no campground WiFi so I asked him how he could do that. He told me about this device... so I went into our Motorhome and with internet access from my phone as a WiFi hotspot... I logged onto Ancestry and bought it. This is an amazing device. With this and a phone signal with data... you can have access to any app on your phone... or website through your phone browser. Now I'm 75 years old. So maybe everyone younger knows about this... but I don't think so. I've never seen any articles in RV magazines about this sort of device. One of the biggest gripes of RV owners today is poor or non-existent WiFi in campgrounds. Certainly you don't have that in the boonies... dry camping. So it arrived yesterday... and I have been playing with it constantly since. Any app... emails.... pictures.... Ancestry.com.... YouTube.... Netflix.... HBO Max... and it is a no brainer. Plug and Play. Yes there is a small learning curve... what the icon's across the bottom of the screen mean... and how to use them.... but IT WORKS. If you think there is no phone access where you are camping... then download a few good movies to a flash stick... and plug it into the adapter... and all the while you are watching anything.... from any source.... you can be charging the phone at the same time. I can't believe I did not know about this.... and I can't imagine living in the future without it. I recommend it highly. And with a monitor.... this device... and a Solar Generator... you can be watching TV and the Internet... almost anywhere. By the way.... my carrier is Verizon... that defines everywhere for me. ♥

I bought this to mirror my Samsung S9+ to my TV so that I could view my Amazon Prime and Hulu on it. At first it worked fine, but after a couple weeks the TV got no signal from it. I processed a replacement. Before the replacement arrived I tried it with a different HDMI cable and it worked. It was the Amazon Basics cable that I purchased that was the problem. I then purchased a high quality HDMI cable and now it's working again. There are times when I'm using it and the signal cuts out. If I unplug the adapter from the phone and then connect it again, it resolves the problem. That's a bit of a pain, so I'm deducting a star.

After I emailed the company I get an email explaining how to change my phone settings to make the phone communicate with the Tv They were very helpful and said if I still had problems to email them back Once I changed the settings on the phone it communicated with the tv The company was very helpful Would tell anyone to purchase the unit
