    • Rock solid USB switch performs in professional environment
I'm using this to share a Mac keyboard between an iMac and a Windows workstation. Our office is unusual in that we (thankfully) use Macs for our main computing needs. I was recently pressed into service in SolidWorks (3-D solid modeling) and it only runs on windows. The virtual machine route worked pretty good, but as I got into heavier tasks it required a separate Windows machine. This is the second and much less expensive USB switch that I've tried. So far (two months or so) it has been 100% reliable USB switching. The other unit I tried would sometimes not be registered when switching to the Windows machine, requiring disconnecting and re-connecting the Keyboard. I also like the colored LCD ring around the button that switches from blue to green. Once you get used to it, you can tell at a glance which machine is currently active with the switch. I use this all day, every day. It's a simple solution with solid performance if you just need to share USB peripherials. It does NOT share video. Recommended! ... show more

This is a small footprint USB switch, and it works great. It's nice that is has an option to power it via a USB brick and cable which per the instructions can better regulate the signal. And the blue or green light (labeled nicely on the switch by each of the input ports) is great for knowing at a glance which port is selected. It comes with two USB-A to USB-A cables (about 3 feet long) plus a micro-USB power cable (you supply your own power brick). So far, so good. ... show more

Have this thing setup to use my mouse and keyboard that I share between my desktop and work laptop. It have been pretty flawless in switching around. The only thing I wish this had was a USB C port like some other ones but for just using USB A peripherals and devices it is perfectly fine! I constantly have to toggle back and forth between my work and personal computers. I was worried about wear and tear to the USB ports, plus it was just really annoying so I got this little guy. It works like a dream, no more moving cords all over the place! Pros: Low profile Very nice looking, all black with a blue or green light depending on which computer. It works very, very fast. This little switch has significantly improved my work-from-home and office days. I often find myself multitasking, using my personal computer for schoolwork during work downtime.
