I bought this KVM switch because I have 1 desktop and 1 laptop on a docking station. I have 3 HP EliteDisplay E222 monitors with multiple video connector options. I get the HDMI displays working but the DisplayPort doesn't work. I tried different cable combinations and configurations but nothing works. I canceled the order and requested a replacement and I get the same issues, display port doesn't work. It works well. Able to switch between two systems, and use the same mouse/keyboard and 3 monitors. There are two issues that I've encountered, but I was able to fix: 1) On one of my computer, whenever I switch to it, the monitors would flicker on and off for a couple of minutes before it would stay on. Made this device almost unusable for me, as I need to switch back and forth often. For my case, it turns out to be a video card issue (Nvidia) and monitors with G-Sync. I had to both, disable G-SYNC, and update my video card driver before this issue would stop. 2) Whenever my system is working hard (the fan spins louder, etc) the mouse and keyboard kept disconnecting, and re-connecting. Took me a month to figure out the issue. This KVM switch uses a composite USB to connect the mouse and Keyboard. There's a single usb cable that goes from the KVM switch to your computer, and this cable carries the messages for both your mouse and keyboard. My system (Windows 11) defaults the power management option for composite usb plugs to turn off the power to these usb devices whenever it needs, for power savings. I had to go into device manager, under USBs, turn off this setting. And my mouse and keyboard no longer disconnects.
