Already have the 25 and 50 foot versions and figured why not get the 100 foot cord as well. These cords are amazing and any other cord doesn't even come close. Since buying these cords,I've given all my other extension cords away. They're so durable and flexible no matter the temperature. They may seem expensive but to me they're worth every penny. I got this cord to plug in my on-board car battery charger. I don't use my car too much sometimes, and it has trouble starting in cold winters, plugging it in keeps it happy. I had a different cold-weather cord before (Coleman Cable 02467 14/3 SJTW Low-Temp Outdoor Extension Cord with Lighted End, 25-Foot), but it was not as good and quite inflexible in the cold. This one is super heavy duty, yet still very flexible. The tips are lighted, which is great for spotting it in the snow, and the cord itself looks better than average cords because of its dual colors and soft rubbery finish. The price was good, and I am somewhat happy to know it was made in USA. UPDATE 4/1/2016 - This was great over the winter. It was still very flexible on -10F days, and has survived being repeated driven over by my car on concrete for months. UPDATE 9/5/2017. Still going strong after 2 years. ... show more

UPDATE: October 1st 2020! I am updating this review, because I recently purchased the 25' version of this cable. In the years of owning the 100' cable, it has been treating me really well, and powers everything that I need without issue. However, for power outages, I needed a shorter cable that can transfer power from a generator, to a 10-port power strip. These cables are just wonderful, and I still highly recommend them. I have uploaded new pictures of the new cable as well. Original Review: I bought an electric snow blower, so I needed an electrical cord that was rated for the snow blowers draw, and for cold temperatures. I chose this cable because it was highly rated, and after owning it, I can now see why. I gotta admit, both the box this cord comes in, and the cord itself is beautiful. No part of this cable feels cheap. It is a heavy duty 12/3 100 foot cable. In other words, it is a 12 gauge, grounded, that can handle 15-AMPS continuously, with up to 20-AMPS peak motor start. This cable is also rated for extreme temperatures, hence the word Extreme, on the box. I really like the heavy duty nature of this cable, I love the lighted plug ends, I love how flexible the cable is, and I love how it can power all of my electric equipment, that I own. What I don't love however, is how heavy this cable is. If you are somebody who can coil this entire cable up on your arm, well, you must be a wrestler by trade. This cable only weighs maybe 10.6 pounds, but it feels like nearly 20 pounds to me, and I can't do it. I can barely coil up an 18 gauge 100 foot cable on my arm as it is! So I bought the ProReel Heavy Duty 12/3 100 foot cable reel on Amazon. CONCLUSION: As long as you get a cable reel, you will be fine. Don't buy that cheap red plastic one that Amazon is recommending, its been rated as a piece of junk, as is all plastic. You want a heavy duty metal one. I highly recommend this cable, 5-STARS across the board! UPDATE: February 16 2019 Its just been just under a year since owning this cable, and I wanted to give you all an update on how its been doing. I have been primarily using this cable for my Snowjoe 21" electric snow blower, but sometimes I use it for other stuff as well. I have been using the cable in 20F to 30F temperatures, and this cable continues to remain flexible no problem. I use this extension cord to power a lawn mower and a snow thrower and it's worked flawlessly in any weather extreme I've had to work in. I especially like how it remains flexible in cold temps. I was using a 14 gauge cord, but decided to get this 12 gauge because the price difference between 12 and 14 was so small (at the time). I have noticed the 12 gauge makes a small difference in performance. I shopped around quite a bit and discovered almost all of the cords I looked at, including ones carrying famous US brand labels, are made in China. The US Wire cords are made in the USA and IMHO higher quality. At the moment I'm writing this, I see that the price has soared since I paid $65 seven months ago and the price difference between the 12 and 14 gauge is much larger. Don't know why the price has fluctuated the way it has. Would blame copper prices, but the price of copper is way down from its high in 2011 ($4.5 vs. 3/lb).. Guess I should be extra careful now not to slice through it with the mower like I did last year!. ... show more

Love the flexibility at -40 and lighted ends are still working. If you run a diesel make sure you get the appropriate gage wires like this model. Still has packaging memory but no big deal.
