First purchase of laser. The machine seems to be well built and of good construction. Shipping was quick and well boxed. Operation is simple and straightforward. Most of my problem is with the capabilities of machine. I read, watched and researched as much as I could. Would recommend an in person demo before buying. I have tried on many different substrates with a variety of tasks. I do restoration work of all kinds. But this machine is not efficient for large jobs or any quick jobs. Very very slow process that does not always produce great results. I had hoped this would reduce the need for strippers and blasting but it doesnt. Laser is only width of a pencil with the ability to change fan of laser working area. Also a bit awkward is the distance project is from user. Operator has to be 3 foot from part. So I usually lay parts on floor and just stand straight up. Machine would probably be amazing on a mount with very slow moving motor. By hand it only takes a little movement and you miss a little. I did figure out if you go over same spot a couple of times from different angles it cleans a little better. One thing I never considered was the smell. I wear a respirator and have a hepa welding filtration system but after I'm done and remove respirator it is bad. Make sure your outside or well ventilated. Again great quality and nice people but I wish I had not spent the money as it will most likely live under a shelf 99% of the time. ... show more
