Features

  • A rust converter is a specialized product designed to convert rust into a more stable and non-reactive compound that can be painted over.

  • This product is ideal for use on metal surfaces that have rusted, such as car bodies, metal tools, and outdoor equipment.
  • Rust converters can also be used to help prevent further rust formation by creating a protective barrier on the surface of the metal.

  • Worked great on my car.
I recently used Rust Kutter to tackle a rust spot on my car, and I am extremely impressed with the results! This product worked exactly as advertised. The rust Kutter not only effectively stopped the rust from spreading but also converted the damaged area into a surface that was ready for painting. The application was straightforward, and I appreciated how quickly it began working. Within no time, I could see a noticeable difference—what was once an unsightly rust spot was transformed into a clean, primed surface. It left me with great confidence to proceed with the painting, knowing that the underlying damage was addressed properly. I highly recommend Rust Kutter for anyone dealing with rust issues. It’s an effective solution that saved me time and money on more extensive repairs. If you’re looking to restore or maintain your vehicle, this product is a must-have in your toolkit! ... show more

  • Also works great for lime and calcium stains from hard water.
Also works great for lime and calcium stains around the house. This has the same mild acid that the hard water stain removers at the grocery stores have but, It's way stronger. My wife was having trouble with hard water stains on our kitchen and bathroom sinks. Due to it's smell I figured this product contained Phosphoric acid. (don't quote me on this). So I gave it a try one day. Man doe's it work great. Let it soak for a bit till the bubbling stops, then clean with an old tooth brush or equivalent. reapply if necessary. Also use rubber gloves and eye protection as stated on the product label. As a side note: Rust Kutter if you read this you should consider relabeling a version of this for the kitchen and bath isle. You would blow the other brands out of the water..... ... show more

  • Rust Treatment Worked, Paint not so well
Nice easy application. I used spray and brush on a very rusted snow blower. It converted the rust but also peeled an existing cheap paint job at the wire brush marks and along bare edges of the paint. Needed 2-3 applications due to the amount of rust so I ended up having to chase peeling and blistering paint. Had to finally call it good but had no intention of chasing so much bare metal. Be careful with a wire brush on nearby paint. You have to be patient with applying, rinsing and drying. ... show more

  • Works great
I had some old rusty antique iron pieces that needed restoration. Navy Jelly left a mess and was hard to wash off if it sat too long. This product was easy to use, easy to clean up, and worked great on the rust. So much so that a single coat of spray paint made the iron look like it was new. No uneven bumps or lumps under the paint. I used it for some rusty screws. Let them soak for a few hours. Cleaned them up and they look almost new. Will buy again when the time comes. ... show more
