I've been a fan of Urban Decay products for a number of years. So when I saw this Naked Eyeshadow Stick, I was eager to give it a try. The eyeshadow stick is full size and seems to hold a good amount of product that should last a long while. It has a nice smooth texture that is easy to apply and goes on smoothly to my eyelids. I chose the color Peach Bum, which is a peachy pink shimmer. It's a light, neutral blush color that works well as a highlighter under my eyebrows. The color is a bit shimmery bordering on glittery, so something to keep in mind as to if you do or do not like that sparkly look. As I find with all UD products, this is very longwearing and stays on well, with excellent smudge resistance. It stays on so well, in fact, that it can actually take a fairly significant effort to get it all removed, without leaving some shimmer behind. My only minor issue with this product is that I do notice that it's a little drying to my skin. The longer I have it on, I'll feel a tightness to my eyelid skin, which tends to run on the dry side. Overall, though, I'm happy with this product from performance and looks standpoints. Priced at $20, I find this to offer a reasonable value for the money for a high quality, brand name shadow stick.

I ordered this for my wife who loves Urban Decay eyeliners. She has very sensitive eyes and finds most eye cosmetic products too irritating. And believing that less is more as she has gotten older and not had much success with numerous other products, she generally does not wear eye shadow. But this product is a game changer for her. This comes in the usual UD style box packaging and has the color and name on the top of the box. The stick is partially decorated in the product color with contrasting snap top and cap on the bottom. These color sticks that twist up and down are extremely user friendly since they are always ready to be applied with no sharpening needed. The snap top is nice as it won’t come loose when carried in a purse or cosmetic bag. The stick glides easily through the opening when twisting the top of the stick and does the same to return it back into the stick holder. The color goes on so smoothly with no tugging on the lid. The color reviewed here is called ‘tasteful’ and it is that. It is a very neutral soft taupe/cool brown and has a creamy feel when applied. You can put it on in a single stroke or cover the lid. And it can be applied heavy, medium or lightly. In all cases the effect can be softened by using a finger of brush to smudge or blend it. After application, it does set rather quickly so if you want to soften the color you need to do it right after you put it on. Otherwise it sets or dries to a nice color with a slight shimmer. My wife has worn it all day with no indication of causing irritation to her eyes and it has long lasting staying power. She generally uses eye cleaning wipes recommended by her eye doctor so she did not have a problem removing the dried cream from her eyelids. Urban Decay is known for its quality and recommended for those with sensitive eyes. So while there are less expensive eye shadow products out there, once you use this UD product, you will come to like and perhaps prefer this brand of cosmetics for your eyes. It is available in 8 different colors and in fact I have ordered another two cream eyeshadow sticks. All in, I highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I honestly didn’t expect to like this eyeshadow stick as much as I do. I’m not a makeup artist by any means and I usually stay away from complicated eye makeup because I prefer quick, simple, natural-looking products that don’t require a ton of brushes or skills to make them work. But this Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Stick completely surprised me in the best way. The formula is incredibly easy to apply and blend, even for someone with very little makeup experience. I got the rich brown matte shade and it complements my eyes beautifully while still looking soft and natural enough for everyday wear. What impressed me the most is how smooth and creamy the formula feels when applying it. It glides on effortlessly without tugging on the eyelids and blends out easily with just my fingers. I was honestly shocked at how easy it was to create a soft smoky effect without using a single makeup brush. Once it sets, it really stays put. I’ve had regular powder eyeshadows leave fallout under my eyes or smudge throughout the day, but this one stays clean and neat with no flaky powder mess at all. It also does a great job resisting creasing and fading, even after several hours of wear, which makes it feel much more high-end and reliable than many eyeshadows I’ve tried before. I also appreciate that it works beautifully as both an eyeshadow and an eyeshadow base. The pigmentation is rich but still very buildable, so you can keep it subtle for daytime or layer it for a more dramatic look. The finish looks soft and smooth on the skin and doesn’t settle weirdly into fine lines. I have fairly sensitive skin around my eyes and had no irritation or discomfort while using it. Another huge plus for me is how travel-friendly and mess-free it is. Since it twists up, there’s no sharpening required and no powder flying everywhere inside your makeup bag. It’s compact enough to fit into literally any purse, pocket, or travel bag, making it perfect for touch-ups on the go. For busy mornings, quick errands, travel days, or anyone who just wants makeup that looks polished without needing special tools, this is honestly fantastic. This product made eye makeup feel approachable and easy instead of intimidating, and now I genuinely want to try more shades like green or purple because the formula is that good. If you like simple, beginner-friendly makeup that still performs like a premium product, I think you’ll really love this one too.
