I needed a sturdy and functional water storage container for a recent multi day Jeep trip. I purchased this container for the trip. I washed it well and allowed it to air dry fully. Once washed and dried, there was no residual plastic smell or taste. This container sat in the back of my Jeep over very rough terrain for three days and never spilled a drop. The spout was convenient and easy to control the flow of water. Having a regular cap and a spout cap made traveling and using around the campsites very easy. If you are looking for a nice sturdy and very functional water container, this one is a great choice.
