I use the press daily. I see some reviews complained about the poring and the overflow mess- suggest you poor slower. I do not grind especially course and there is little to no coffee grounds. It's glass so I have to be careful but I like to see the product. I especially like the double wall as I can let the press sit on the wood table and not worry a bout recking. the top.

These are almost certainly made by a company called Venus Technology Co., Ltd., located in Tianjin, China. I'm including a photograph from their business profile on Alibaba. At the time I write this, they are resold by several parties on Amazon with randomly generated names like "Upspirit" and "Unnki," at a tenfold markup. A small price to pay for the ease of the transaction. I wish more of the proceeds went to the craftspeople making these. It is amazing to me how well they are made. This is a product made by a combination of hand and machine process, with some mass produced plastic parts (the silver-colored top bits are all plastic), but a very well-made borosilicate carafe. To make the spout on the edge of the vacuum sealed carafe, the glass needs to be pinched with a small pair of tongs while red hot and pulled outward. This creates a somewhat pointed spout tip. It does necessitate some care when pouring. You can't just tip the thing sideways. You need to start pouring slowly. If you do, it works perfectly. The two mesh filters allow you to sandwich a piece of standard coffee filter paper between them, trimmed to a circle, with a hole cut for the piston. If you do this, it will make it much harder and slower to plunge the coffee, but will filter it very cleanly.

The double-wall glass design of the Upspirit French Press is very cool, and the top lid is plastic with a metal topper, so is the press handle. I like that this size is 20 oz / 600ml as it is perfect for personal usage, and the press is not too big or small. I brewed a few cups in it no problem, the filter seems decent, but just wait until you try to pour some of the liquid out and it sprays around your cup. I think the pour spout is too small. This french press would be perfect if it had a spout that guaranteed the water would pour without spraying outward. Because of this, I am returning it. Seems like a simple fix to the design that would turn an elegant design into something that also functions elegantly. I wont bother with a product that makes a mess.

I have used other brands before and love French press coffee! Thought I would try this one but there were more cons than pros. Cons: The spout was hard to pour from. It’s so small it only really makes 1 1/4 decently sized cups of coffee. Pro: Really good for individual use and for someone who only drinks 1 cup of coffee a day. Update: It arrived on May 20th, I used it daily as instructed. Now it’s only June 6th and it already broke. It seems there’s a hairline crack somewhere that let water and coffee grounds get between the layers of glass. It now resembles a kids baby bottle toy.

This French Press is really a beautiful looking press. It has the measures printed on the glass to make it easy to measure your liquid. The press itself is a very pretty silver tone and presses down easily. I was excited about getting the press until I made my first cups of coffee. The press cracked along the top as I was making my coffee, so I never got to drink the coffee. I don’t know why it cracked -maybe I pressed too hard or maybe it had a hairline crack when it was delivered that I didn’t notice. Nonetheless I have a French press that I have to throw away. It is a shame because it has some nice features.
