Neat product. I bought it because our lab floods our floor with water from his chops walking away from the water bowl. Instead of burying his chops in the water he licks this to get his water. Has cut down on the mess our floors by at least 50%. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is because we need the bowl needs to have a larger capacity. A 2 gallon would be great!!! We are constantly having to refill this one.

We have an English Bulldog who drips water all over the floors when he drinks water. We have to constantly chase him around with a towel to wipe his mouth every time he drinks. NOT ANYMORE!!! This has completely eliminated all that and we absolutely love this water bowl! Our frenchie drinks from it just fine too, there was no real learning curve for either of our pups. So glad we bought this water bowl!

I got this dog bowl not realizing I’d have to get filters for it all the time. That is my own fault. My dogs drool a lot when they drink, and I don’t want to be changing or buying filters all the time because of it. I would rather just wash the bowl more often than have to buy filters all the time. Also, looking at the bowl it isn’t immediately noticeable how much water is left unless you’re standing over the bowl. For this reasoning decided to get a clear bowl. This bowl and all others like it are so small if you have a big dog. You can’t just fill a bowl this size once or twice a day and expect a large dog like a boxer to be good for the day. I have 3 boxers. I find myself filling a bowl this size more times per day than I care to keep track of.

I bought this because my dog - despite not being that big - tended to drip water all over the floor after drinking out of a bowl. She'd basically just stick half her face in the bowl, gulp a lot, then whip her head out with her mouth still full of water and get it everywhere. This prevents her from putting her face in the bowl and she just laps at the shallow water that comes up through the pawprint in the center of it. This keeps my floor much drier! Despite the filter on this, the water tends to get slimy fast and some water is always trapped inside the 'top plate' that keeps her face out of the water. And that water stinks! Other than that, it's easy to clean and works pretty well. It took her (and the cats) no time at all to get used to it.

We have two German Shepards and a cat. I don’t know if you know just how messy two GSDs can be when they are drinking, but it was causing floor damage. They adapted easily to the new bowl and seem to like it. I loved that we don’t have the water slobber on the kitchen floor anymore! It is easy to clean. I only wish I found this bowl sooner!!!! Sounds cheesy but it’s true.
