VERY NICE IMPROVEMENT OVER MY OLD, WELL-USED REMOTE. WORTH THE PRICE.
Size: Upgraded remote for Canon
VERY NICE ADDITION TO MY CANON. IT WORKS SMOOTHLY AND WITH SPEED. NICE IMPROVEMENT OVER MY OLD ONE THAT LASTED FOR A LONG RUN. TAKES A BIT TO GET FAMILIAR TO THE SETTINGS BUT WORTH THE EFFORT.

Works!
Size: Upgraded remote for Canon
I have a different AODELAN remote for my Canon R5 that works great, so I was excited to try the Pebble II remote, which is compatible with my 5D Mark IV. Unlike the remote for my R5, this one requires no wireless/bluetooth connection and instead utilizes old school wired connections to your camera, which requires less menu digging but more physical parts. The box includes a transmitter, receiver, and three cords for charging and connecting to various cameras, along with easy to follow instructions. There is only one charging cord for both the transmitter and receiver, so either allow extra time to charge them one at a time or utilize a second USB-C charging cord. While I found the setup to be easy, at first I couldn’t get the camera AF or shutter to work, even though the transmitter and receiver were lighting up in sync with one another. Fortunately, I quickly troubleshooted the problem. Since the trigger basically communicates with the shutter button, if you have your shutter button set-up differently than the default (half press focus, full press take a photo) it can interfere with the trigger working as expected. I have back-button focus set up on my camera and the half-press focus on the shutter disabled; once I set those back to “normal” the wireless remote worked flawlessly. One of the things I like about this Aodelan model compared to the wifi/bluetooth based one I have for my R5 is that you can use the shooting mode (continuous, single shot, etc) selected on the camera, vs having to be in remote/single shot mode. The 2 second delay on the trigger also gives you enough time to press the shutter and then tuck (or toss) the trigger out of the way so that it doesn’t appear in photos. I was a bit concerned that the receiver needed to be mounted to my camera’s hotshoe, as I didn’t want to give up using a speed light, but the hotshoe mount is just to keep the receiver secure and prevent it from dangling in the way. There is no communication via the hotshoe (everything is via the three prong wired connection), so if you want to mount a flash or flash trigger on the hotshoe you can easily still do so. Overall this is a great inexpensive option for making self portraits and family photos a bit easier. ... show more

Works Great With My Canon, But a Little Pricey
Size: Upgraded remote for Canon
I bought this wireless remote to use with my Canon camera, and so far it works very well. It’s convenient for taking pictures without having to touch the camera, especially when using a tripod or when I want to be in the photo myself. I also like that it’s rechargeable, so I don’t have to worry about keeping replacement batteries around. It’s small, lightweight, and easy to carry in my camera bag. My only complaint is the price. It does what it’s supposed to do and works well, but I think it’s a little pricey for something that is basically just a camera remote. Overall, I’m happy with it and would recommend it to Canon users who want the convenience of a rechargeable wireless shutter remote. ... show more

Super simple but very effective. My absolute favorite simple remote shutter trigger.
Size: Upgraded remote for Canon
Simple and perfect for remote triggering of your cameras. I have these in multiple protocols. Sony, Nikon and Canon. They all work exactly the same. In fact they all seem to be identical, other than the included cables. You could likely get one and find the appropriate cables for other cameras systems and protocols. Maybe the company even sells replacement cables? They seem to be a somewhat standard 2.5mm connectors that I have from other camera support gear. Have not tested those cables but I would bet it would work just fine. This remote just plain works. It works every time and without complicated menus or screens. They have 2 different remotes. The one sold here, which is just a simple shutter button, and another more advanced remote. The more advanced includes an intervalometer among other features. This one is just a reboot shutter button, which is very convenient. You just attach the receiver to the hot shoe and plug in the cable. Turn on both the receiver and remote transmitter and you are in business. Press the button to take a photo. Half press for focus works too. There is also a two second timer button. When pressed, the remote and receiver will blink to countdown the 2 seconds, then trigger the shutter. So easy. No extra programming or menus. Just press a button. These are just a few buttons. No screens or stuff to remember. It's a simple yet effective solution that is also well designed and built to take a beating in your camera bag. It's all plastic but it's a solid plastic while being lightweight and grippy. I just love these units. That's why I have one for each system. The price is a little bit higher than the cheapest no name brands. It's also well worth the small price difference since it's very reliable and well made. The built in batteries are nice to have and the convenience of USB-C charging is great. That said, there will be a day when the batteries no longer hold a good charge. At this point these units will fail to be useful. Is it a worthy trade-off for convenience? Only you can decide. While I love USB-C charging devices with built in power, I also hate e waste. This is a concern but maybe the batteries will be user replaceable? Not sure. Just something to think about. For me, it's a great set that I'm willing to gamble in the batteries, for now. It's just so simple and convenient. I didn't have to think about buying batteries or charging them separately. Just plug into USB and use them. So easy. That's worth a few extra dollars for me. ... show more

Great camera companion
Size: Upgraded remote for Canon
I have the other one and there was a delay in the shutter time. This one is quick and it seems to sync faster too. It fits in my kit and works well. It's easy to setup quickly and connectivity is consistent.

Super Easy to Connect- Solid Shutter Release w fast responsiveness & Quality Materials 5⭐️s
Size: Upgraded remote for Canon
AODELAN Upgraded Rechargeable Wireless Camera Remote is very well made from the remote controls to the high quality coiled cables. It’s super intuitive and easy to get it from box to releasing the shutter. After charge is complete it plugs into the hot shoe and you turn it on. That’s it- it’s the easiest to set up. No programming or menus to figure out. It’s releases the shutter on my Canon 7d as quickly as I would with the button. It functions with the focus ( you press button down half way) and then if you are setting up the frame and want time to get in it gives you a 2 second delay option. The remotes are small and fit in my tiniest pocket on my pants or the smaller pockets next to the cf cards in my camera bag. They don’t take up any needed space in the bag nor do they stick out on the cameras body. It’s a quick way to take completely stable pictures with no camera shake. Especially for the price, they are worth it. They built these to last- even though they are plastic it’s not thin flimsy plastic. I have a setup I purchased probably 10 years ago (or more) and it never functioned as cohesively with my Canon as this unit is. Given the age I’d expect it be worse but even in the beginning it was never as responsive as this brand. I love that its rechargeable, and can take the usb-c cord like the majority of my equipment- so I always have one in my bag along with a power bank. Ive not had to recharge it yet but the convenience of the tool in so many aspects is here. Its compatible with the Canon 7D, and connected to it as soon as I attached it. Easy peazy! ... show more
