    • Sticky tabs don't hold on glass in heat.
I got this alarm after some lame thief smashed my back window and stole my $24 emergency car kit. Stealing the toolkit wasn't the lame part- the lame part was that the thief was too stupid to look any further than the back hatch and (Thankfully for me!) didn't realize that I hadn't unpacked from a weekend road trip and had about $1500 in gear sitting on the back seat. So, for the cost of a $300.00 window, the thief took a cheapo toolkit. Hope he really needed those jumper cables! Anyway, I figured any kind of alert was better than no alert if it made thieves flee instead of thieving. I used the sticky tabs to attach this awesome little alarm to the inside of my back window, and after forgetting it was there and triggering it a couple times, I can confirm that it's plenty loud enough to deter thieves. It's sensitive enough that knocking the bumper of my car hard with a grocery cart (Because that's how I roll, Baby!) will set it off, but a 4.5 earthquake epicentered 10 miles away won't. I found the instructions to change the alarm sound and volume a little confusing, so I just left it on the factory settings, and that seems to be great. The only bad part is that those sticky tabs don't hold up to being left in the sun in auto-glass, and the alarm fell off the window, triggering the alarm and annoying my neighbors! I ended up buying new heavy-duty sticky tabs and so far those seem to be holding up. Over all, this is an awesome little alarm for the price, and if you're using it in a situation where you can strap it with the plastic ties they provide instead of using the sticky tabs, there's no reason not to give it a go. ... show more

This little alarm is great. I purchased it for my golf cart. The sensitivity is perfect for our use. The first few days we had it I kept triggering the warning chirps because I was forgetting it was connected to the cart and not disarming it before getting onto the cart. Just enough sensitivity to go off without being over active. It has nice modern arm and disarm sounds and also has an option to change the sound that you use if you press one of the buttons on the fob as a "car finder" type sound. I like to trigger this sound when we drive or cart to a local store so people know it has an alarm system. The main alarm sound, after being set off by vibration, is the typical siren alarm sound you hear on most vehicle alarm systems. All of the sounds ate very loud. I Love that it's totally wireless and affordable, yet very effective. Its been about 1.5 week's since install (took 3 minutes) and I would definitely purchase it again. ... show more
