Plug and play works well I had some issues with the original ad5x nozzle from filament that caused some warping due to inconsistencies. I also used to get more jams with the original.nozzle. Swapping this was easy (the ad5x nozzle is meant to be easily swapped) . And it worked with no special configuration. Jams reduced maybe 20% and then there were some software upgrades for the printer and it reduced a bit more. Comes with the rubber boot. My original one dry rotted and broke into pieces within a week or so but this one has lasted over two months I believe.

I picked this up as replacement hardware for my Flashforge AD5X since these hotend parts wear out with regular use. The kit includes three of the 0.4mm hardened steel nozzles, a full heating assembly, and silicone socks to keep heat where it belongs instead of radiating out. Install was straightforward, the quick swap design really does let you change nozzles without tearing the whole hotend apart, which is a nice change from printers where you need three tools and a heat gun just to get the old nozzle out. Everything lined up with the stock parts and there was no fiddling needed to get a good seal, no leaking or oozing at the threads once it was heated up and running. Print quality has been consistent with what I got from the factory nozzle, clean extrusion and no clogging so far. The hardened steel construction is a plus if you print anything with fill additives like wood or carbon fiber blends since regular brass nozzles wear out fast with abrasive filament. My only hesitation is longevity. I've only had these in service a short time, and I've seen some reports of these types of aftermarket nozzles wearing out or the tip hollowing out sooner than genuine parts. I'll be keeping an eye on it over the next couple months of regular printing before I'd call it a total win. For the price compared to buying OEM parts one at a time, it's still a reasonable deal if you print often and go through nozzles regularly. Good option for anyone running an AD5X who wants spares on hand without paying brand markup, just don't expect it to necessarily outlast the original equipment.

I have had this nozzle less than 2 months, only printing petg, and it is already trash. The end is hollowed out, like it has been printing for a year or more. Don't waste your money on this.
