I did not install the voltage display. This thing works so nice. My daughter's Elsa jeep now pops a wheelie when she does a roll back (which is awesome) I have the low voltage protection set to 15v, so the 5ah battery only last about 15 mins. The 8ah battery lasts waay longer.

The media could not be loaded. To be honest, I’m probably being over generous by giving 3 stars because I tried 3 separate kits and all of them failed. But, they kept offering to exchange it and most of the kit seemed to work great so I’ll give the benefit of the doubt. The biggest issue I had was that the LVP (low voltage protector) stops working completely once tripped. All 3 kits I ordered had issues with the LVP once they were activated. All 3 refuse to reset after they trip, even after letting sit over night, and trying several new batteries. I adjusted the lvp settings up and down with no luck. Two of them if I smack the side of housing with my hand will briefly reset and then cut power again after a few seconds. If I bypass the lvp everything works so I know it’s the lvp it’s self. They work great until they trip once. Then they never reset, and the fact I can smack the housing and they briefly work again lends me to believe there’s an internal failure. For context I’m running 20v dewalt batteries. I set the LVP to activate at 16v with a .5v overhead. When the battery hit 16v the lvp did exactly what it should and cut power. However, once I put new battery in they never worked again. I changed settings all the way down to 2v and all the way up to 25v, I performed a factory reset, etc. nothing I did would get them to start working again. All that aside, the rest of the kit worked great, the adapter and pwm worked exactly as they should. I will say however, I can see why the instructions seem to confuse a lot of people. They confused even me for a bit. The issues is that they included multiple configurations into one drawing, the smarter thing in my opinion would be to just include two separate configuration drawings. For those setting it up and stuck on the instructions, just remember this, you can put the LED voltage gauge on either side of the pwm. If you put the gauge on the “power in” side of the pwm you will be displaying your battery voltage. If you place the gauge on the “power out” side of the pwm you will display the dial controlled voltage. The instructions are confusing because they show this in one drawing instead of two drawings with no explanation.

Beware! The voltage limiter has a led light that will slowly drain your battery dead! If you do not unplug it or turn it off, the limiter will slowly drain the battery. Otherwise it works as described. The voltage limiter will prevent your power wheels from starting if the voltage in the battery is too low. It will cut it off if you are are driving as well and the voltage gets too low. Don’t leave it on overnight or else the device that is designed to save your batteries will drain and kill them!

Do not buy this kit it is absolute junk the first kit the low voltage protector didn’t work out of the box. I received my second kit for replacement and yet the same thing one again.
