This is a great upgrade for anyone who has the harbor freight tire changer! Just change 4 new tires on our van with this. Makes all the difference when trying not to damage the rims! Had to grind some corrosion off my tire changer to get the cone to fit. Easily mounted on the tire changer. The duck bill is strong plastic which I was concerned about but held up great! Easily fit in the tire and popped those tires of like nothing. The square tubing was design for the square end of the tire iron. Slides on and off the tire changer like it was designed for it. This is a must have for any home garage mechanic.

What a difference! I have a HF manual tire changer, first time I used it without this thing I spent about 30 mins fighting one tire off/on, banged up the rim, bar kept slipping and was dangerous. I bought this duck head accessory and I just changed two tires in 5 mins. Much easier, much less labor, much safer, and no rim damage. 100% worth the money!

This fit my HF tire changer perfectly. Worked great and saved me from my usual cussing and spitting storm I usually have when I would change with just a bar. The duck bill kept my wheels from getting scratches etc. I was able to even use the centering cone. But I had to grind down the over sized welds on the top of the center bar before the cone would fit over it. It's basically an exact fit. I can't believe I went this long without this attachment. 🤦♂️

I just purchased this kit and a Harbor Freight tire changer as well. They fit; I don't know what the people are doing wrong that said it would not fit. I am not fond of the cone because it is small and will definitely be too small for a lot of tires. But it is a value package many people sell the same thing without a cone for the same price or even more. The cone is just a throw in. I will be purchasing a larger cone that will work better for trailer and truck tires. You don't have to use a cone for a tire changer it just makes the alignment easier and more positive. BTW someone complained they stripped out one of the adjustment threads. I would suggest not tightening any more than necessary. Soft steel will strip. Over torquing will strip threads - don't blame the product if you over torque. In my younger days I made that mistake a few times. On me, not what was stripped.

The mount that connects the pivot arm to the duckhead arm has weak welds & poorly placed tension screws. The ad picture shows the tensions screws 90 degrees from one another, but it doesn’t come that way, it shows up with them 180 from each other. What happens is when you go to remove the tires, all the pressure is on the pivot bar tension nut and the weld breaks. The welds on this are poor, you will find the same said in other reviews. They are small tack welds with no penetration in the metal, so they can’t withstand the strain and break. What you will have to do is remove the nut, drill a hole 90 degrees from the other & weld it in. If you don’t have ability to do that, then this probably won’t work for you. As for function, it works generally as described. I have a harbor freight machine and this fit it without issue. If you have ever done tires before with a proper rim clamp machine, this isn’t too far off from that. It will just require much more effort & messing with the tires to get it on & off, but it works.

This fit my black DNA MOTORING manual tire changer, I did 3D print a couple of bushings to take up the extra space inside the tube but it would probably have worked fine without. The duckbill is good and the whole assembly was strong enough to mount low profile 235/45R17 with issues. Highly recommended! One of the plastic handles for tightening/holding the arm broke but it was in an annoying location so I just replaced it with a regular bolt so it's not sticking out in my way.

Absolutely garbage broke the first time we used it 31 days after purchase so I can’t return it. If I had known it was junk I would’ve used it sooner. Don’t waste your money to be told you waited too long. it only gets one star do to having to give it that so truly zero stars. And before anyone thinks we just don’t know what we’re doing both mechanics both certified just cheap junk!
